And the Pussification of America Continues: Controversy Raging In Bellingham When Lyrics of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The USA” Are Changed To We Love the USA in 4th Grade Concert Prompting Parent and Lee Greenwood Outrage
BELLINGHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Following outrage from parents; a changed version of “God Bless the USA” has been pulled from an upcoming school assembly concert. According to parents, children at Stall Brook Elementary school were told to sing “We love the USA” instead of “God Bless the USA” during the chorus of the popular Lee Greenwood song. + See what people are saying on Facebook The song was scheduled to be performed at an April 12th assembly, but now has been pulled. In a statement from Stall Brook Elementary school, they said they hope to “maintain the focus on the original objective of sharing students’ knowledge of the U.S. States, and because of logistics, will not include any songs.”
Another day another dollar. I don’t even know who the principal is trying to protect here? Atheists? That’s got to be it right? Because I’m pretty sure every religion believes in a god of some kind. So I honestly don’t see how the PC police could have any problem with saying God Bless the USA. Very strange. I mean God Bless America is like our countries most popular song.
Seriously what type of absolute lunatic suggests something like this in the first place? Do you know how fucked in the head you have to be to think of this? It’s wild. That’s always the scariest part with pussification stories like these. Not only that there are actually looney bins like this out there, but they are teaching our kids. People who are so detached from reality that I think you could literally declare them clinically insane.
PS – The 2nd part of this story is that Lee Greenwood chimed in and told Stall Brook Elementary School that if they changed the lyrics they couldn’t sing the song. Relax hardo. Yeah it’s fucking insane that they did that, but pretty sure you can’t stop a 4th grade assembly from singing your song with or without the butchered lyrics.
