HOLYOKE - Police arrested 12 men and women on prostitution-related charges Thursday night during an undercover sting operation downtown. Police, in a release, stated that the operation followed complaints from business owners and residents regarding suspected prostitutes in the Chestnut Street area, between Suffolk and Dwight streets. The sting was initially aimed at suspected prostitutes with an undercover officer soliciting sex for a fee. After several arrests, undercover officers posing as prostitutes targeted would be customers or johns. Police Chief James Neiswanger directed investigators to interview the female suspects and inquire into their reason for being involved in prostitution. According to the release: “Chief Neiswanger believes that with the proper direction and aid these women will be able to live a more productive life.” Charged with being a common nightwalker were: Autumn Belch, 24, Manchester, Conn.; Victor F. Ganieany, 63, Three Rivers.

When I first read this I couldn’t have been more obsessed with Vic Ganieany. He was an idol, of sorts. I respected a man who could stay hot in the prostitution game well into his golden years. I wanted to know what made him tick. Where he got his passion from. What kept him a step ahead of all the young bucks. How much he got paid per fuck, and what his dick was like. But now that I look at the mugshot? I just feel bad for him. That’s the face of a defeated man. A guy who’s sick and tired of being sick and tired. If Vic had to suck the clit of one more western Mass broad he probably would have offed himself. You know when you hear stories about serial killers and sometimes they were relieved to get caught? They were tired of the lies, the deceit, and life on the run? Victor used to hear those stories and just nod his head in agreement. Congrats brother. You had a legendary run, but the nightmare is over.
