Entire North Reading Police Department Being Re-trained On How To Lock The Jail Cell Door After Two Prisoners Just Walk Right Out When It Was Left Ajar (This is Real Life)

NORTH READING (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A pair of male suspects reportedly walked straight out of the North Reading Police Department on Monday morning. It took a call from the mother of one of the suspects for police to realize that they were missing. Giangrande’s mother called police to say her son was in a family member’s attic. Chief Murphy admits it wasn’t just a mechanical error, but human error played a role in the incident as well. He says the officer responsible has since been retrained on how to properly shut the cell door, even though the officer is a veteran of the department and has been shutting the door the same way for years.

Just had no answers for anything. And how could he? There is just no logical explanation how you leave a jail cell door open with prisoners in it. Or how you could be checking the prisoners every 30 minutes but it took a call from the mother of the escapee to figure out they were missing. Just a total debacle. But luckily it’s nothing a little retraining on how to lock a door properly can’t fix. Somewhere in a dark alley Frank Carey weeps….
