Passenger of Drunk Driver That Killed Innocent Person Blames The Bar For Letting Them Drive Drunk
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution – Two weeks after she survived a head-on collision that killed two others, Beyonica Watts acknowledges she and her friend behind the wheel were drunk and heading the wrong way on Ga. 400. But she believes blame for the crash, which fatally injured her friend and the man in the other car, extends beyond the vehicle. The Kennesaw woman believes the security at the Atlanta bar where she and her friend, Frampere Ingle, were drinking should have taken away the keys. “The accident could have been stopped if, No. 1, (security) would have locked us up for public intoxication,” Watts told Channel 2 Action News. “I want people to know … this cannot solely be blamed on Frampere Ingle.” But that account does not wash with the family of Eric Hanks, driver of the other car who was killed in the crash.“It’s amazing to me how people try to shift the blame to somebody else,” said Hanks’ mother, Deborah Hanks. “You can’t erase the fact that they were going the wrong way and they were drunk.”Ferguson added, “If she’s not going to take some responsibility, then this could happen again.”
All things considered the mother of the guy who got murdered by this drunk driver is handling this situation pretty well. Like if somebody killed my kid because they were driving drunk down a one way street and then tried to pass the blame off on the bar for not taking away their keys I’m pretty sure I’d freak out and go on a killing spree. Either way though doesn’t this sum up the sad state of affairs in this country? Obviously this is an extreme example, but nothing is ever anybody’s fault anymore. If your kid doesn’t do well in school it’s the teachers fault. If he’s not good enough to play sports it’s the coaches fault. If you get hurt it’s the equipment’s fault. If you don’t have a job it’s the economy’s fault. Nobody ever takes responsibility for their actions anymore. It’s disgusting. Hey asshole nobody forced you to drink and drive. That was your choice. You murdered this innocent person. Nobody else but you. Shut your fucking face and go spend the rest of your life in jail. You and nobody else earned that fate.

One, as was previously mentioned, this was the passenger of the offending vehicle. Two, which I believe would have El Pres’ point much better, the bar actually did take their keys away and give them to a third person. This third person just happened to only drive them to a nearby gas station before ditching them. So even though the bar organized a DD (or at least an LDD) she still feels the bar should be blamed.

Pretty standard they always go after the bar now anyway, especially when a victim is seeking damages. If there’s money to be had and thry can prove negligence on the part of the bar, the bar will have to cough up some loot. Any way you look at it though, Peterframpton is going to rightfully rot behind bars with or without any proven negligence on the bar shortening her sentence.
