This is when I wish the WWE was the UFC. Because I would 100% pay to watch CM Punk fight Chris Brown. And here is the thing. I’m not 100% convinced CM Punk would win either. Ok, time to explain this all for morons.
1. Pro wrestling is scripted and choreographed. The outcomes are predetermined, and the moves are designed in such a way as to minimize the damage taken by the performers.
2. In spite of these efforts, injuries constantly happen, simply because there’s no way to completely avoid the physical toll from these impacts. Combine that with wrestlers working hurt, working 300 nights a year, and the way they have to be constantly treating their pain to work the next night, and they die younger than NFL linemen ever thought of dying.
3. You can like UFC and WWE, one or the other, or neither. None of those decisions reflect positively or negatively on your intellectual capacity. I know Mensa members that are fans of both.
3. CM Punk is a wrestler yes, but he’s also trained in MMA, and quite a few of the guys in wrestling are current/former mma fighters. He’s 6’2″ 220. Given that he had very little fear of calling out Shawne Merriman, I’d figure he can handle himself better than we’re giving him credit for. And Chris Brown is a skinny douche. Who cares if the WWE is fake/lame/gay, CM Punk atleast has a strong enough fanbase/ loud enough voice to be heard. I know CM Punk is cool with the Gracie family and obviously trains more than Chris Brown so I would pay 50$ to see a 1 on 1 fight w. 0 interference. So I would spend 50 on the ticket, 30$ on a couple double Crown and 7′s, and then I would email Pres the video of the fight because his cheap ass definitely wouldn’t pay to see it.
