Johnny Football Wins Heisman
Alot of people say the Alabama game won Johnny Football the Heisman. Wrong. It was over the second this lady cut this demo. Game, set, match. Johnny Football.
PS – If I don’t have a suit like this by the end of the weekend I may kill myself….Fire.

Manti Te’o got robbed …this is all Neil’s fault
Kid looked like he could barely lift the trophy
You could hear how shocked people were when they announced his name. Just complete shock. One of the biggest snubs in Heisman history.
Snub? If you think a linebacker with 1.5 sacks and 5 tackles for loss deserved the Heisman more than Manziel you are out of your mind.
Teo’ got robbed? That’s hilarious. Look, Te’o had a great year, but spare me that bullshit. For a defensive player to win he has to put up Charles Woodson type numbers. Te’o didn’t do that. Shut up.
People were shocked? Even though most of the analysts thought he would win? Yeah I bet everybody was just shocked by that announcement.
Holy fuck, I can’t believe all the ND cock smooches bitching about Te’o not winning. Newsflash fuckheads, the QB position is the most important position in football. Manziel broke SEC records as a freshman for chist sakes.
Quick! No one tell elpres where the local Eblens are so he can kill himself?
Good to see the retards are out in full force tonight. Saying Te’o got snubbed is so dumb it’s beyond my comprehension. If Te’o would have won it would have been Manziel that got snubbed. I have no horse in the race either, I’m just not an imbecile.
The only people getting snubbed tonight are us stoolies not getting those naked pics of renee
Off Topic: what are the odds Moe blogs about the Sixers getting deep dicked by the Celts tonight? He was quick on the trigger after the Sixers 1 point win last night.
I realize this probably isn’t the most popular opinion out there (considering everybody on this site seems to hate Notre Dame), but I digress. Manti T’eo deserved the Heisman. Do you guys realize that since 2000 there has only been one player to win the Heisman who wasn’t a Quarterback? It was Mark Ingram (Discounting Reggie Bush because his was vacated). Doesn’t anybody else see a problem with this? It is literally almost impossible for a player other than QB to with the Heisman. T’eo has 7 interceptions, 103 tackles, only 2 missed tackles all season, is Captain of the team, is playing in the National Championship, is the leader of one of the best defenses in college football, and for Christ’s sake the guys grandma died then 6 hours later his girlfriend died of cancer in the middle of the season. I’m not discounting what Manziel did this season, but it’s pretty fucking stupid how the Heisman has now become the Best QB Award. Just thought I’d throw that out there.
Oh and for the record I have no rooting interest in Notre Dame (well I guess I kind of do coming up because I cannot fucking stand Alabama).
If T’eo didn’t play for Notre Dame he would not be a Heisman finalist. If Manziel did not play for A&M he would still be a Heisman finalist. No snub tonight
rpw, I don’t necessarily believe that. I think it helps that Notre Dame is in the National Championship, but he is one of the main reasons they’re in the National Championship in the first place.
Ficken, your argument falls on deaf ears. First, I don’t hate Notre Dame, I hate ignorant Notre Dame fans that say what you just said. The only person or people that could actually believe what you just said are Notre Dame fans. Secondly, I’ll say it again, you have to put up out of this world numbers as a defensive player to win the Heisman. Let’s face it, it’s 99% of the time an offensive award. Te’o put up good numbers, but they weren’t good enough to overcome the incredible numbers Manziel put up…as a freshmen mind you. And finally, just because he’s the captain and LB for the team playing for the title doesn’t mean he deserved the award over Manziel. That’s stupid. Stop.
@Ficken, do you realize Manziel broke SEC records as a freeshman and beat the National Champs Alabama? Te’o is definitely a great player but single most most important position on the field is QB.
They oughta just call it the best offensive player in the country. T’eo didn’t have a chance; no strictly defensive player ever has had a chance. Woodson won as much for his return game as his D. Touchdowns always make sportcenter, and Johnny FB certainly scored a lot, but you never see an appropriately filled gap on the highlights. Not even the space between Erin Andrews tittays.
I think rpw nailed it. If teo didn’t play for Norte dame he would just be another good linebacker out there. Look what Luke Kuechly did at BC the last couple years. His numbers were outstanding, but no one thought he should be a heismen winner. Not discrediting Teo, he is a very good player and great person.
otwisted, that’s exactly the problem with the Heisman. You’re telling me that Jason White deserved the Heisman over Larry Fitzgerald in 2003, or that Troy Smith deserved it over Darren McFadden in 2006, or that fucking Chris Weinke deserved it over LaDainian Tomlinson in 2000? I realize that QB is an important position, i really do, but that shouldn’t get you an automatic ticket for the Heisman.
It’s not just that the Heisman trophy is being dominated by offensive players, it’s that college football is dominated by offensive players. For a defensive player to finish second in voting is impressive. I wouldn’t even worry, T’eo probably has a better future ahead of him in the NFL than Manziel.
Yeah, I left out the part where he led A&M to a win over Bama. That’s almost as good as Te’o leading his team to that incredible overtime thriller over Pitt.
Jarvis Jones was the top Linebacker in the country this year, Te’o wasn’t even the best at his position so it was pretty obvious the only reason he was there was because of his helmet color and background story. Johnny Football had that locked up when Klein decided to choke
I will say that, the Heisman trophy means absolutely nothing for your football future. Look at the list of winners over the past 20+ yrs. Endless list of NFL busts.
More importantly where can I catch a peek at that grandmas fun bags?
@Ficken, no there have been legitimate snubs over the years, but again all those people snubbed on your list were on the offensive side of the ball. Skill players > defensive players
When i say if he didn’t play for notre dame- I meant that the who aura of Notre Dame and the golden dome and the “Notre Dame is back” trend placed him up there. For example- Mike Mauti on Penn State had better stats up until he tore his ACL for the third time, but he was not mentioned even once for the heisman. I am not saying he should, just that the whol aura of ND and ND being relevant put T’eo as a serious contender.
I think T’eo had a great year, I am not denying that. Jarvis Jones on Georgia is a higher rated LB with better stats. If T’eo played for another school I honestly do not think he would be up there because no other defensive player was mentioned. He was the best player on the best team, yes, but not the best player in the country.
Put Johnny Football on almost any other team in the country and he would still be a finalist. without question. A&M doesn’t have the aura that ND does. Doesn’t hurt Manziel single-handedly beat Alabama. and he had gaudier stats than Cam and Tebow.
@Ficken, not to mention chasing guys around an racking up takles is not equivelent to throwing TD passes. Te’o deserves all the defensive awards he gets but manziel did unprecedented this as a freshman, Kid barely has hair on his balls.
Herzlich/Kuechly>Te’o
It doesn’t really matter now cause they can’t change it. It’s just how I feel about the whole Heisman Trophy crap.
A lot not alot. It is two words. Idiot.
The doctor of style, Slick won a Heisman?!
The doctor of style, Slick won a Heisman?!
That suit is only a drive to Burlington Coat Factory away.
I love Manti but he didn’t get snubbed just because the Heisman is slanted in favor of QB’s. They are fun to watch and that’s why they win. Thats how voting works (see Obama). Manziel deserved it, Go Domers..
oh and @rpw, Mike Mauti played against Ohio, Navy, Temple, Indiana and not a single team within the top 15 in the nation. I’m sure theres some D3 middle LB’s with good numbers too… and if your going to talk about teams who get a pass for their “aura” using Penn State as your example is not entirely persuasive.
^^Guess you’re just blocking out Mauti playing against Ohio State (Maybe the actual best team in the nation) you know, the other undefeated team besides ND who play in a tougher conference.
Compare the numbers from the 1997 heisman to Manti and Johnnys numbers from this past season. Woodson and Manti were similar aside from the 3 offensive TDs while Peyton blew Johnny out of the water. http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/awards/heisman-1997.html
Kiel- I understand that, but Penn State played an Ohio State team that if eligible would be playing ND in the title game so that counts.
Notre Dame played the very same Navy team, you know that. Ohio is a better team than Pitt, BC (who lost to 2-10 army), and wake forest. ND played the same shitty Purdue team.
And don’t start with the aura argument. ND always has and always will be the biggest draw for media blessings. Does Penn State have an aura? sure, but unless you were living under a rock for the past year or so that took a bit of a hit and there was NO WAY a penn state player would get national praise. I am not saying that Mauti should have been a Heisman candidate, thats just an example.
If we want to make a serious argument though look at Jarvis Jones at Georgia. I have no doubt that if he was at ND he would be a Heisman candidate.
I don’t want to call you a homer but c’mon dude take a step back and look at the whole picture. Do you really think if T’eo played at another school he would be in the picture? If yes then well so be it but I can’t see that being realistic. I mean I root for the guy, he is a great player, competitor, and what happened to him this season and how he still was a great player was amazing and a great story, but I just don’t see him in the running if he is elsewhere. Agree to disagree I guess, respectfully.
PS love the obama comparison, fuck that guy
otwisted, Ohio St. played a tougher schedule than ND?? State played Nebraska, ND played Oklahoma, USC, and Stanford. Both played Mich., Mich. St., and Purdue.. sorry I forgot that State played UAB, UCF, and Cal. I guess both played Miami? ND played Miami(FL) and State played Miami(OH). Maybe Ohio State was the “actual best team in the nation.”
^^No asshole, you said Mauti didn’t play against a top 15 team and I was pointing out your ignorance fuckhead. Ohio St is most definitely a top 15 team.
@rpw, as i said before te’o didnt get snubbed, manziel was more fun to watch and thats what wins heisman votes.. however i debate jarvis jones (78 tackles, 1 int, capital one bowl) being a better candidate than te’o (101 tackles, 7 ints, Nat’l Championship). Glad to see we could agree on politics though.
I’m genuinely worried about people who think Te’o should have won. He’s a pretty good linebacker with a neat story. That’s where the conversation ends.
@duuuuude blows out of the water? really? yes peyton threw for 12 more touchdowns, but he sure as hell did not rush for 1000+ yards or rush for 19 touchdowns.
^ i should add that i am not comparing the 2–peyton is a much better QB (obviously) but the numbers are there
@gunner Jones also had 12.5 sacks (Te’o 1.5), 7forced fumbles (Te’o 0), and 22.5 TFL (Te’o 5.5). So the argument is definitely there that Jones had a better year than Te’o.

love to know where you got those forced fumble stats from.. espn must have missed those games
I thought it could go either way, and don’t consider it a “snub”, but…
@jdarts85 Compare the defensive numbers. Te’o had more tackles, sacks, and TFL (as he should as an LB) than Woodson, and they had the same number of interceptions (which is absurd considering positions), in their respective years.
@burnout01 Comparing sacks and TFL between essentially a DE and a MLB is useless
T’eo abandonded his dying girlfriend when she needed him most and didn’t even bother to make it to her funeral, meanwhile Johhny is out there crushing hot ass blonde pussy and making a complete mockery of the SEC exposing it as the most overhyped conference in the history of conferences. Game, set, match… give the trophy to Manziel. The real feel good story of the year.
yea so.. id fuck this coug.
UMich didn’t we curb stomp your ass? Overrated huh?
I’d bang that old broad.. While most of you stoolies are up at 3AM because you stumbled home, lit a bong and eating cold pizza…. I had a screaming baby getting teeth wake me up… now the house is asleep again, and I am looking at smut… oh, I will get my revenge… in 19 years when that baby is away at college… he is getting wake up calls every Sunday at 5AM
a lot.
i’m pretty sure it’s awarded to the most outstanding football player. it’s not the best leader/best person award. also, he wasn’t even in the top 50 for tackles at a position where that’s really the only stat the matters
It’s the pretend Note Dame fans that make me despise Notre Dame.
come on, shortage of bad orange suits!
I want that old broad so bad its been its been one “dishonorable discharge” after another…Im sticking to my seat
Should be a Saggies shirt.
Who cares about the Heisman this year anyways? Yeah a cool a freshman winning, hasn’t been done since ever. Lets look at the real issue here, he’s white, he won a Heisman, he’s a freshman, and he’s playing in the cotton bowl. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that game for the dark ones, either us light skinned folk need to save him or he gonna get raped out there in those cotton fields.

@BdayUmich…I get it, you’re being provocative! “Abandoned his girlfriend…” No laughs the first time so you try it on a second blog because shit’s just so damn edgy it needs to be heard twice to be understood! Kudos, bro. You’re like the George Carlin of not funny and nobody fives a fuck.
