McHale still walks with a limp to this day after playing the 87 playoffs on a broken foot. Now if that isn’t legendary status I don’t know what is.

Who is questioning McHale’s ability? Anyone who knows anything about hoops knows that Kevin was a legend. But i didnt see anyone questioning it.
The Celtics used to play 4 home games each year in Hartford. I remember after a game I asked McHale for his autograph. I had never been so close to an NBA player. He had an off night and said “I’m not signing anything tonight guys”. Then he went onto the court and ran suicides. By the time security cleared the Civic Center, he was practicing low post moves all by himself. I miss the NBA of old.

Gotta preface this by saying I’m a Pistons fan, so I should hate KG. But I love that guy. Fiery competitor, plays with raw emotion, and wears his heart on his sleeve.
It’s good to see that athletes can show genuine class. KG went up in my book.
