Longtime Red Sox PA Announcer Carl Beane Dies In Car Crash
STURBRIDGE - Carl Beane, the Agawam native who served as the public address announcer at Fenway Park, died Wednesday in a car accident in Sturbridge. Beane, 59, a Holland resident, was pronounced dead at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge a short time after the crash, according to a statement issued by Timothy Connelly of the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
Real sad news. I guess when it’s going bad it’s going bad. RIP Carl Beane.
PS – Is it too soon to say Dr. Charles is probably the happiest guy in the building because he gets to throw another elaborate ceremony that takes the focus off the team. Yes I suppose it is, but I’d be lying if I didn’t think it.

The other sad thing about this, is that Hardy from 98.5 the Sports Hub would be a TERRIFIC replacement for Carl Beane, but now that he broke the story of Beckett golfing when he was hurt, they probably won’t give him a shot.
