In all my years of watching sports I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a team lie down like the Yankees just did. Zero heart. Zero competitiveness. Zero will to win. Just the gutless way they do things in NY. Their most expensive player benched for being a coward. Their mythical Captain faking an ankle injury so he can get out of the lineup. Their best pitcher throwing meatballs down the middle. Hard to believe this was the once proud NY Yankee franchise. Now they are nothing more than a joke. A disgrace to uniform. A disgrace to the game. Poor George Steinbrenner is probably rolling around in his grave as we speak. I’m almost embarrassed to call them a rival after that display. Gross.
