I’m sick and tired of all this Sox negativity. People saying we have no chance and shit. Yeah we’re playing like crap, but last time I checked we’re still 2 games ahead of Tampa Bay. I am raising the stakes right now. If this is a poker game, I am shoving my chips right in the middle of the table. I am raising the ante. Anybody who wants out, can get out. This team is going to the playoffs. OK? This team is going to the playoffs.” And in baseball that’s all that matters. That’s why I don’t get why everybody giving up already. Listen it doesn’t matter that we played like dog poop all September. That has no bearing on what will happen in October. It really doesn’t. Baseball momentum is only as good as your next day starting pitcher. The perfect example is the 2004 Sox who got pounded for 3 straight games and then all of a sudden rose up and pisssed in NY’s face. Why not again? The talent is here. They’ve played like world beaters at times this season. We still got Beckett and Lester. Maybe we’ll have Bucholtz back. Bedacky probably won’t smell the mound in the post season. Our offense is still as good as anybody in baseball. All I’m saying is that once the playoffs start it’s a crap shoot. Just get into the tournament. That’s all that matters.
