Eastbayri - Barrington Beach will host a sand castle building contest in August. Earlier this month the recreation department director was criticized for telling a resident to knock down a sand castle he had built.  The Barrington Recreation Department director said he’s actually a big fan of sand castles, despite what some people have said following an incident at the town beach on June 9 when he told a resident to knock down a sand castle because it may have posed a safety hazard. Mr. Taylor, who said he was unfairly portrayed by the media following the incident, said he has no problem with people building sand castles at the beach and plans to show off some of his building skills later this summer during a sand castle building competition at the town beach.  I can build a sand castle too … but I’ll take it down when I’m done,” said Mr. Taylor.  “I hope people can come down here and enjoy the beach and if they want to build sand castles they can do that,” he said.

I got to be honest.  This sandcastle Nazi may be my favorite character of the summer. Just crushing sandcastle dreams left and right like it ain’t no thing.   Now he’s got the entire town up his ass.  Everybody telling him that Barrington is a summer town. They need summer dollars. If people can’t build sand castles here they’ll be glad to build sand castles at the beaches of Cape Cod, the Hamptons, Long Island.”  So what does Sand Castle Nazi do?   The only thing he can do.   He reopens the beaches and holds a sandcastle contest and starts ranting and raving about how much he loves sandcastles.

“I can build a sand castle too….bull I’ll take it down when I’m done”

I love it.   I can just picture the steam coming out of Sand Castle Nazi’s ears as he said that.  I’m just hoping that the second this contest is over Sand Castle Nazi storms down the beach in a huge steam roller like he’s at Normandy blasting a fog horn running kids over and knocking shit to the ground. Yup I’m officially on team Sand Castle Nazi.
