Vintage Lebron James… Hosts “Fade To Black” Fundraiser For Cowboys Player Jerry Brown Who Was Killed In DUI By Popping Bottles In Club All Night And Donating 10% of Profits to the Family
Dallas - Late yesterday we told you about a bizarre event that popped up on Dallas’ nightlife calendar: a party at the nightclub Zouk, hosted by LeBron James and apparently designed to honor Jerry Brown, the Cowboys practice-squadder who died in a drunk-driving accident. The event drew all sorts of red flags. The most obvious is that Brown and teammate Josh Brent, who was driving the car that crashed, had been partying with celebrities and athletes at a Dallas nightclub the night of their accident. We’re no event planners, but a party with celebrities and athletes at a Dallas nightclub didn’t seem like the very best way to honor Brown. Then there was the fundraiser: Just 10 percent of the event’s proceeds were slated to go Brown’s family. This morning we also found the flyer above, which reveals the event’s unfortunate name. It was all very festive, we’re sure.
It’s about time we had a good old fashioned Lebron being Lebron story. I feel like every since he won the Title people have somehow started to forget what an epic douchebag this guy is. All those Lebron propaganda ads starting to trick people into thinking he gives a fuck about anybody but himself. But this should fix all that. This is old school Lebron. Lebron getting back to basics. Just doing what he does best. Throwing a fund raiser for a guy who got killed in a DUI accident and whose body isn’t even cold yet by popping bottles in the club. Each city Lebron goes to, his crew basically rents him out to host a party and they split the fee of tickets sold. He’s been doing this for years. In Boston it’s at Rumor or Gypsy Bar.
When Lebron left Cleveland and made an ass of himself along the way, every sports marketing agent went on TV/Radio saying Lebron needed to dump his friends/agents because they were too stupid to handle him. Either Lebron replaced his friends with idiots, or likely, never replaced them at all.
