is this the year none of the upsets that usually start in October happen? with bcs now out .. BAMA/LSU vs OKL/OKLST is a done deal unless winners of those games fall elsewhere ... setting up some excellant bcs bowls though .. boise vs bama/lsu loser will be must see ... even the orange dragged down by its acc affliation could end up with clemson/wv which would be entertaining at least... stanford/oregon vs Wisconsin another potential matchup .. lot can still happen but separation of top teams looks significant..

DC Gunner kind of showed his ass during his original commitment. Not sure if that means anything, but it rubbed some the wrong way.

Winston is the clear cut #1 QB in the country, but we'll never get to see him play college football.

Brent Calloway arrested for pot possession. Yippee.

CBS working to move the Bama/LSU game to prime time. ESPN will make them pay big.

Cuse shock the world baby!!!! Next stop...Orange Bowl
The Orangemen are just a rock-solid, consistent winner that hasn't suffered a losing season since 1968-69.

another crazy night as the boise bus and potential sec rematch had another good week on bye.. would have been great if usc did not get robbed.. not a lane kiffen fan but a few suspect calls.. first the late hit was right call but very lucky as it was def not intentional for stanford would have been 4th down.. however end of regulation vid showed wr got out of bounds with sec left and if they changed to say he did not get out of bounds well vid show lane calling timeout.. even more puzzling was when usc up 7 in 2nd ot on second down at 20 stanford got holding call but refs did not move ball back 10 yards.. very weird.. still those hoping for chaos just need 2 results to happen ..

1. OKL over OKL st
2. Oregon over Stanford

that would leave the winner of bama/lsu vs either 1 loss big 12 champ Okl (awful loss though at home) 1 loss bama/lsu loser or undefeated boise

Big 10 is just as crazy as penn st somehow has 2.5 game lead despite horrific offense.. Ohio St just needs to beat penn st and then have penn st lose at wisconsin and they would win tiebreaks.. that is if they beat mich and something tells me that won't happen this year on road..

Is Miller transferring to Penn State?

This whole Urban Meyer thing will be interesting to watch once the season ends. If you go by what he said when he left Florida, he won't be coaching again for a few years. But this year there is a strong possibility he could have his choice of big time jobs........Ohio State and Penn State, and there could always be another higher end opportunity come open we don't expect. It is a good year to be a free agent coach.

UConn.........what happens if/when the Buckeyes run the table and go to the Rose Bowl? At that point, they have to keep Fickell right?

It isn't that far fetched. They will beat Indiana and Purdue, they are better than Penn State and should win that game and Michigan is beatable even if tOSU is the underdog in that game. If the Buckeyes win out, all they need to win the division is Penn State to lose another game in addition to losing to tOSU, and I think that will happen.

Just think.......because the Big Ten is down and tOSU has a solid defense and an offense that is figuring is beginning to figure it out, they could end up with Luke Freaking Fickell as their head coach for the next 3-5 years, while Urban Meyer is coaching the Golden Domers because Brian Kelly's head explodes.

It happened to Bama in '99......they lost to Louisiana Tech and I just KNEW we were finally going to be rid of Dubose, and he turns around the next week and beats Florida in the Swamp(UF's first home loss in several years), then beats their ass again in the SECCG, thus securing his job and giving us the 3-8 year in 2000, and the whole Albert Means ordeal. Sometimes it doesn't pay to be "good".
