but seriously, if you don't mind staying in dumps and don't mind drunken college kids stay somewhere on Ft. Myers beach. Check out the Lani Kai.

Got a house to stay in already, flight booked, I'm going.

I will be in Gainesville the 4-7 and St Pete from the 7th-17th. Going to see them on the 13,15-16th.

Definitely got blacked out at the Lani Kai the only time I've gone there. Hilarious. Forgot the name until reading this thread.

It's a small place between (I believe) Madeira Beach and St. Pete Beach, those little towns within St. Pete (not like Boston is). It's a few miles north of the Don Cesar right on the water as name suggests. I've had a relative down there for years. Nice little spot.

TI is just north of St Pete Beach. Snappers for dinner in St Pete Beach, Beverly's for breakfast=$

If you head over to Captiva from Ft Myers, tell the people at the Bubble Room that DB sent you. Roadhouse Cafe is a solid take for dinner in Ft Myers. Ft Myers Beach can be a headache to get in and out but it does have this:
