In the end my decision to not watch had as much to do with the fact it was based on a dying sport. I also wont tune into a show where the main characters work in print media.

10 years ago it seemed there was a PPV event worth taking in at a buddies house a few times a year, now all I get is MMA invites. Maybe in your world its still popular, but not many people live in your world
