No my buddy told me something about a 1 time $150 service charge for AT&T service to it 24/7 or just use a wifi signal at your house.

There are several data price plans, one for $29.99 that gives you 2GB or 250 MB for $14.00, or you could try to glom onto your home wireless or somebody elses connection though I don't know why you would have an Ipad without a data plan. They can also be added to a corporate account now as well, something that was not possible when they were introduced. You can take the thing anywhere, the battery lasts for 3 or 4 days and for those who hate AT+T the Verizon version is coming out soon.

iPad 2 Rumors: Front Facing Camera, CDMA-GSM Chip, Thinner Design
Details, or rumors, are starting to drip out about the newest version of the iPad. Here's what's being talked about this morning:

Apple has picked suppliers, and it will start shipping iPad 2 in Q1 2011, DigiTimes reports.

Apple is making a "World iPad" using a dual GSM-CDMA Qualcomm chip, says Wedge Partners analyst Brian Blair (via All Things D.)

Blair also says the new iPad will have a front facing camera.
The iPad 2 will be slimmer, with a unibody construction from one piece of metal, adds Blair.

Blair thinks Apple will manufacture 48 million iPads next year.

That's all for now, but we expect talk to heat up and pick up over the next few months as iPad 2 gets closer to being a reality.
