Imagine yourself looking at the goal posts from directly behind them, like 20 fucking feet to the right of where this video is being shot. I’m just guessing here but I think at the 8 second mark is were it crosses over the FG post. If you pause it, the ball appears to be the slighest snidge past the outside of the post. And from what i was told the entire ball needs to be on the inside of the most outside part of the pole. So if just a little part of the ball isn’t then its no good. My guess is that ball is no good based on that video and angle. Just my opinion tho, lets be honest, its not like pats don’t make playoffs cause of this. The best view with my ~ 10 feet to the left of this, so that the ball wall coming directly at you. Then you could tell if the ball crossed the crossbar before it left. This view is easily the best view I’ve seen yet and it doesn’t even look close. The entire ball needs to go inside of the outer edge of the upright. There’s no way it did here.

the entire football has to be within the outer limit of the goal post. the girth of the football at its widest point is about 8 inches wide. each goal post is about 4 inches wide. if a football stands straight up on top of the goal post, there are 2 inches of the ball extending beyond either side of the goal post. so to all you shmucks claiming that the ball goes straight over the post, there are at least 2 inches of the ball extending outside the outer edge of the post, more if the ball is tilted off axis and is NO GOOD.
@plange – too bad the video on BSS Oakland also shows Woodson hit Brady in the head before he even got the ball. So in reality it should have been called a PF hit to the head 15 yarder on Woodson, not an incomplete pass. Would have given AV a chip shot. Raiders got away with one there
