As anyone who knows me will tell you, I take a back seat to no man when it comes to love of my country.  I’m as patriotic an American as you’ll find anywhere.  But even though I’ve lived half a lifetime, I’ve never seen so much pure American Awesomeness in one place as I have here.  This is everything that’s good and right about this great land of ours expressed in one 9-minute clip.  I mean, Tyler Busby had me at “Sequined American Flag Vest,” but then he goes right ahead into “I’m Proud to Be an American” and that gospel hymn and just nails them.  Seriously, it’s like his voice is a combination of Fergie and Jesus. Then,  even though that’s an impossible act to follow, Aaron Cady comes along with his pure charisma and rocks “God Bless America” on the keyboard.  It’s everything that makes the US of A great all rolled into one.  Their music is like the sound of George Washington tag teamming with Hulk Hogan, Abe Lincoln winning the Daytona 500 and the Statue of Liberty stomping a bunch of terrorists at the Super Bowl while a bald eagle pecks their eyes out.  America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But 10 year olds in sequin vests singing patriotic anthems have marked the time. It’s a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again.

So well done, lads.  Maybe next year you can team up for my personal anthem, “Rock, Flag and Eagle:”
