Hockey sucks, and BU is EXTREMELY overrated, but they seem to score at will. I was paying a little attention to BU vs. Vermont because of ESPN Beat the Streak, BU was up like 3-0 early. Looked back a period later, the score was 3-3. Then Vermont was up 4-3 so I drowned some children in disgust. Next day, I looked at the box score, the final was 5-4 BU somehow.

And this isn’t close to the top 5 comebacks of all time.

I can think of 5 better comebacks no problem. However, I can’t think of 10 better comebacks. The game was great. I have been a BU fan for a long time. So I am putting it in The Top 10 Greatest Comebacks Ever, hands down.

As a former UVM student and hockey player/fan. I knew BU was the best team in America. When Miami went up 3-1 you knew the game still had time for BU to come back. The last 3 minutes when Millan was pulled was the sickest attack ive ever witnessed. BU showed great grit, determination, and heart, and skill!!!

The odds of scoring one never mind 2 goals is astronomical! What they did is just crazy! This was by far a top 5 comeback! There is NO debate!

Incredible game! To score two goals in less than a minute to go is just amazing. It may not be on a big time scale but if you are a sports fan you have to love seeing something like this. I liked the stat that BU is undefeated when Nick Bonino gets a point and he had an assist on the second goal and the game tier. Tough goal to lose on but just fantastic to watch.

Yanks Sox ALCS is the Casa BLanca and Tom Brady’s game winning drives in the superbowl is the Godfather trilogy… BU two goals in 42sec is just a summer blockbuster at this point i’m gonna wait on this one…

Listen. I was there. It was phenomenal. I drove down from BU at 4:30 am on Thursday and prolly spent about $320. Easily the best three twenty I have ever spent.

Seeing Z. Cohen throw that backhander in to make it 3-2 then one of the most calm, cool, and collected maneuvering and pass from Captain Hobey was simply a thing of beauty. That comeback will be remembered by that tying goal and the eventual deflection that led to the championship, but what will be forgotten by many is the balls it took for Parker to say fuck it and pull Millan with 3:32 left. It was a championship quality move by Parker. He may be hated by many outside of the BU community, but making that move was ballsy as fuck.

The entire weekend was insane. Two games. Two comebacks. And this one will go down as one of the greatest of all time. I don’t know where it will end up in everyone’s personal rankings, but a comeback after being down 3-1 with a minute left in a championship game (against a goalie that had only given up 4 goals all tournament) absolutely has to be considered in any top five conversation.

Doesn’t matter if you love/hate hockey or love/hate Boston, the fact is that to play last 3:30 with an empty net and down 2 goals in the National Champioship game (against a quality opponent who had outplayed them most of game) and still comeback and win, this has to be considered in the GOAT conversation……

It is apples/oranges to compare to “best-of” series or regular season games, or even playoff games before Finals or not an elimination game for both teams like a Game 7 (e.g. Celtics comebacks vs. Nets in 02 or Lakers last year Finals—sad to see those 2 not mentioned as both were incredible but series wouldn’t have been over yet)..
