Am I Racist For Not Thinking This Cowboys Cheerleader Dressed As Lil Wayne Is Being Racist?
CBS – A Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader has brought some controversy to herself following the discovery of some Halloween photos on her Facebook page that some say are inappropriate. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are the sweethearts of America’s Team, yet the actions of one of the cheerleaders off the field have drawn scrutiny and criticism. Second-year cheerleader Whitney Isleib reportedly attended a friend’s Halloween party dressed as rapper Lil’ Wayne, who is black. Pictures of Isleib, who is white, were posted on her Facebook page. The photos were leaked to a sports blog, and that’s where the controversy started. No one from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders or the team would officially comment, but a team spokesman told us the team is aware of the situation and addressing it internally. Isleib was also not available for comment following Sunday’s game.
So Deadspin posted these pictures on Halloween of this Dallas Cowboys cheerleader in “black face” and now she is in a shitload of trouble. I hope Deadspin is proud of themselves. Way to get a hot bitch in trouble for no reason. I mean maybe I’m just an idiot or ignorant but I really don’t have a problem with this. Yeah I get it. Obviously the black face thing has it’s roots tied in slavery and racism, but at what point do you use common sense evaluating cases like this? Like my guess is that even if “Black Face” never existed this chick still would have put on the black makeup to complete her costume.. In other words I don’t think she made any connection between the historical connotation of Black Face and just trying to look like Lil Wayne. Again maybe it’s easy for me to say since I’m a white dude, but I just don’t see the big deal here. Like maybe some people see black face in any context and can’t help but associate it with racism. But I still don’t think it’s fair to hold that against this girl. So if you want to get mad at her for anything get mad that she didn’t dress like a slut on Halloween because that’s the real crime in my book.
PS – Can we stop calling the Cowboys America’s team? Everybody knows America’s team is whoever is playing the Pats each week. That’s who the rest of the country roots for.

One of my buddies rocked this exact rig at the Halloween party. Everyone there white and black loved it. I counted 3 Multi-step hand shakes he got from some of the black guys in attandance. To a man, I don’t think this is offensive but once it goes out to the masses, people start losing their minds.
