CRANSTON, R.I. — In a move that has taken some parents by surprise, the school department has announced that it is banning traditional “father-daughter” and “mother-son” activities, saying they violate state law. Supt. Judith Lundsten said the move was triggered by a letter from the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of a single mom who had complained that her daughter had not been able to attend her father-daughter dance. Lundsten said school attorneys found while federal Title IX legislation banning gender discrimination gives an exemption for “father-son” and “mother-daughter” events, Rhode Island law doesn’t.

 

The American Civil Liberties Union is a trip huh? Like for an organization that sounds like they should do good shit, they really do their best to fuck this country up. Like you want to protest the Ku Klux Klan? Knock yourself out. But writing letters that a kid is being discriminated against because she can’t go to a father-daughter event because she doesn’t have a father is pretty fucking wild. Even for the pussification of America wild. I just don’t get it. Hey newsflash kid. You don’t have a dad. He knocked up your mom and then split town. That’s just the facts. Fathers Day is going to happen whether you like it or not. That’s never going to change. So my advice is don’t worry about what other people have. Worry about yourself. Because I can tell you this much. When you enter the real world nobody gives a shit about your problems. Nobody is going to give you a job or give you special treatment because you didn’t grow up with daddy. The sooner we stop pretending everybody is the exactly the same and there are no winners and losers in life the better off this country will be.
