I know Jerry and I get accused of being Patriots homers all the time. Jerry will goes on 98.5 and Felger and Mazz will poke fun at him for his undying allegiance to Belichick. The fact that he’ll never criticize the defense or anything Patriot related. The fact that if Belichick told Jerry to jump of a bridge Jerry would ask how high. Well it’s days like these that remind you why anybody with a brain feels should feel the same way. I’m just not sure everybody always appreciates how lucky we are to be Patriots fans. How amazing this past decade has been. How absurd it is that every single year we are the favorites to win the Superbowl. How every single year we are the team to beat and everybody knows it. I mean during the past decade teams have come and gone. Story-lines have come and gone. The only thing that has remained consistent is our excellence. It’s surreal. We make winning look so effortless that it’s easy to forget how hard it is to win in the NFL. How hard the rest of the NFL has to work just to win 1 game. Meanwhile people around here judge the Pats not by whether they win or not, but by how impressive they looking doing it. That’s how great we are. There will never be another run like this in the history of professional sports. So soak it in and and enjoy every second of it. It truly is great to be king and never forget that.

Pres is completely right, we are totally spoiled. Comparing this to the Yankees dominance isn’t exactly valid. The fact that a salary cap exists, plus the fact that players are traded or leave when their contracts expire more often in this era make it much different.
A decade ago, the Pats were winning superbowls and the dominant teams were the Rams, the Eagles, the Colts, etc. The 9ers, Saints, Texans, etc. sucked. Now the teams that were good suck, and the ones that sucked are good, and the Patriots remain better than them all. For a fucking decade.

I am a die hard Eagles fan (DYNASTY BABY!) and I dream of having one year, just ONE year, where the Eagles can do something close to what the Pats have done in 1 of the past 10+ seasons. The Pats truly are the best team to play the game and have been the best for a solid decade. If the Eagles were to put up 59 points that would be equivalent to a Superbowl win at this point, even if it were to come against a team like the Cleveland Browns and the Browns were to put up 54 in the loss. Every week I am more and more impressed with the all around talent that the Pats have not only on the field but in the offices as well.
