Back To Stool Hostage Update – Anybody Want A Kickass Concert At Maine or Uconn?

Ok so there is a ton of shit going on with Back To Stool right now. I honestly have no idea what’s going to happen. All I know is I would rather cancel both of these and take a gigantic hit than throw a half assed event circa URI Stoolapalooza. That will never happen again. So I promise you if you have a ticket to a Barstool concert it’s going to be balls out. That’s a fucking promise. Because if I don’t think it’s going to be nutzo we’ll cancel and refund. It’s that simple.
Now having said that here are the options I’m staring at right now
1. Do both Manchester and Providence as planned if ticket sales pick up to where I know it will be bonkers
2. Cancel Manchester and Providence
3. Cancel Manchester and move Providence to Lupos on Thursday Oct 7th which will obviously be insane and sell out in 5 seconds.
4. There are two schools in New England that could reach out to me tomorrow to move the concert on Sat Oct 9th and I’d pull the trigger. Those two schools are Uconn and Maine. Both are Stoolie madhouses and big ass schools. In order to make this happen though we need a venue and we need it ASAP. So if you are a superstar at that campus and can get us a building we’ll bring Back To Stool and everything that comes along with it to you. I know this is a long shot, but figured I’d throw it out there.
Regardless decisions are coming soon.
Option :1 isn’t going to happen.
Option 2: is sad but, do what you gotta do
Option 3: Has my full support
Option 4: Long Shot, would suck cause I aint going to Uconn or Maine for a concert, but def the best possible outcome for the concert

A much smaller venue would be a much better strategy for them shitty bands of yours. There’s no downside to the smaller venue because if it ever gets too crowded you just turn your own stool over and you’ve got seating for four.
cancel the shows…then break the acts up and take them one by one to bars around Boston or Providence….MGD Blind Date style.
No one knows who they’re getting that night, but have a chance for Posner or Chiddy or Mac Miller….and maybe they follow all the shows to either A. Get the person they want or B. See them all.
Negotiate with the Bar/Club. You get half of the cover charge, 25% of booze sales, a personal tab and free advertising for both parties…

maybe you should get one decent band/musician and people will buy tickets, I mean nobody has bought a single ticket for the concert, so people are just paying to go get drunk, and they can do that for much cheaper at other frat parties so basically just hire someone that people have actually heard of.
Should have learned your lesson from Stoolapalooza. The circumstances that allow UMass to be a good event don’t exist anywhere in RI or NH.

maybe its time to stop isolating your audience and doing it at colleges. Do it at various neutral locations. I’m too old to be hanging around college campuses on a fucking thursday drinking on the side of the street.
Do like a hartford, springfield, boston, providence, manchester civic center tour. and get a musician that isn’t a piece of garbage.
Fuck Orono, from Portland and went to UNH. Had friends who went to UMO and when I went to party with them it fucking sucked. Too many white trash losers from “The County” that go to that school. Bring it to Portland is your best option. You are 45-60 minutes from Durham and Portsmouth (about 90 minutes from Boston) and about and hour and a half from UMO. You could hold it at the State Theater downtown which I think is going to be re-opening in the next week or two. If not there the Civic Center could more than hold the capicity you need to sell 1,000 tickets. Plus USM (University of Southern Maine) is located in Gorham/Portland so you will sell the tickets you need no doubt.
Unless you did radio advertising in Manch Vegas or organized Street Teams and Campus Reps to do the heavy lifting, Manch is a bust. EP had balls of steel to try his hand at concert promoting or an IQ of 60….
How about a simpler formula. First establish a presence in the college towns (Boston, Amherst, Worcester, Durham, Providence) with twice a semester bashes at the biggest bar in town. Like a mini road show. Then at the end of the year throw huge event with artists like the White Panda. Someone you can afford for the evening and a smaller scar…. or you can lose $70k and bomb our asses with HBO ads.
EP, UConn would be of the hook. They aren’t afraid to get grimey. If UMass was a good local then UConn will be too… each school loves to get naughty.
