For goodness sakes...every other person in that building is wearing a suit and tie and is probably a lawyer or CEO. It's laughable that the coach is suggesting that they just 'don't get it' up there. Of course they 'get it,' and Gainey is just trying to be a little diplomatic here by giving the fans an 'excuse' for what they did.
