Pro Football Talk - Two days before he’s due to be in court as a named plaintiff in the Tom Brady antitrust lawsuit, Chiefs linebacker Mike Vrabel had a much different entanglement with the justice system. Jail Commander James LaPine tells PFT that Vrabel was arrested for theft at the Belterra Casino in Florence, Indiana earlier today. The charge, under Indiana law, is a Class D felony. LaPine had no information regarding the thing that was allegedly stolen. In Indiana, theft of anything, regardless of value, is a Class D felony. It carries a sentence of six months to three years in prison.

This is just coming out so details are sketchy.  But my first reaction is that Vrabel has always been one of the all time great guys to come through Boston in our lifetimes.  I’d say that after Brady, Bruschi and Troy Brown, he personified what the Patriots glory teams were all about better than anyone, so whatever the particulars are, this is pretty surprising.  I guess it’s just what happens to a guy when the Patriots cut him loose.  They all lose their minds.  Donte Stallworth kills a guy, Randy Moss commits career suicide and now Vrabel thinks he’s Danny Ocean.  It’s a sad, sad thing, but you can understand how it could happen.  @jerrythornton1
