Carolina showed up last night, Ward played great! fucked up call, should have been 4-0, thank god that it didn’t matter. Looks to be a great series

I think you’re being a little too tough on the boys tonight. I do agree about the finishing, they could have been up 2-0 in the first if Bergeron doesn’t shank that shot and there was another near miss on a back door pass, can’t remember who it was.

Then again Carolina could have been up early if not for some Thomas big saves.

Carolina brought their A game and the score showed it. Like I said before this is what the playoffs in the NHL are all about. Home ice isn’t that big of an advantage, at least nowhere near the NBA or NFL.

Carolina turned up their intensity from game 1, while the B’s waited until the 3rd period to start playing with intensity. I expect the B’s to come out and bang the Canes early and often in game 3.

K Balls,

On offense, B’s looked like they were on the power play all night but no ability to finish. Bad shots, no rebounds. Defense was flat and hitting was not there. Lucic looked slow and flat. Strange night. Ward was good. Staal took no heat. Thomas wasn’t bad. Just a flat night. I expect them to come out hitting in Carolina, especially bringing contact to the front of the offensive net.

Sounds like a few newbies here, talking smack, NHL playoff series usaully go pretty deep. 6 or 7 games is the norm.

A hot goalie can steal games in the playoffs and Ward was great when he needed to be. Bruins played hard, a little sloppy but Carolina deserved this one.
