Kansas – Porn star Samantha Ryan was so pumped about her Sunflower Showdown experience Wednesday night that she had to share it with her 2,000 Twitter followers. “So excited for my floor seats at the KU/KSU game! Coach Townsend kicks major ass! Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go KU!” her Twitter feed screamed about an hour before tipoff. Six hours later, after KU’s rousing victory, the 1996 Shawnee Mission Northwest grad Tweeted three pics, showing her front-row view and warm embrace with the Jayhawks mascot, Big Jay…[the] 32-year-old porn star and former Kansas student wound up with better seats than Charlie Weis for the biggest regular-season basketball game at Allen Fieldhouse in 50 years.

If you click the link to the article by Jason Whitlock, you’ll learn that Samantha got the tickets from a Jayhawks recruiter who says he met her on a flight but he had no idea she was a porn actress.  She was just nice so he offered her tickets.  Calling shenanigans on this load of crap would be like saying “ice is cold” so I’ll leave that to all the hacks who blog for sites with lower standards than ours.  Instead I want to focus on poor Charlie Weis, the unwitting victim in this story.  It’s such a sad tale, really.  Weis had it all.  The fame, the glory, recognition that comes from being the NFL’s most innovative offensive mind.  And he parlayed it into his dream job at Notre Dame.  Now a few short years of failure later, he’s the OC of the Kansas City Chiefs, a position so unlofty even in his new adopted hometown that he’s losing out on court side seats to the star of “Butt Pirates of the Carribean.”  That’s got to hurt even if you’re a big fan of her directorial work on “Sorority Sluts: Lotta Eta Pi” as I am.  Weis is like a figure from a Greek tragedy who flew too close to the sun and has come crashing down to Earth.  And landed in the cheap seats.  Anyway, click here for some very, very NSFW pics and videos of Samantha.  And while you do, try to think happy thoughts for poor Charlie Weis.
