Chiddy Bang Misses Concert Last Night…Blames It On Me Like Yellow Belly Cowards
So Back To Stool sucked last night at Lupos. Mac Miller was great. White Panda was great. Other than that it was a total disaster. The crowd sucked. Chiddy Bang didn’t show up. Posner’s road manager gave me an invoice 1 second before Posner was due to go on stage for 4,000.00 in expenses, which I’d never seen before and didn’t know was coming and threatened that Posner wouldn’t play if I didn’t pay it on the spot. Keep in min I never disputed that I owed expenses. I just wanted to check their invoice with my records like a normal human being before paying. And then to top it off I get home and see Chiddy Bang is bashing me on Twitter for “screwing the fans and being unorganized”. All in all probably the most aggravating surreal life of my night. Just fake life shit. But maybe I’m just biased. So starting with Chiddy Bang, I’ll let the Stoolies decide who is in the right here. Me or these fake wannabe rockstars who think they are the Beatles or something. Here is what happened with them over the past 24 hours and led to them missing a show and blaming it on me.
(As a sidenote Barstool agreed to pay for their travel expenses for this show so that’s why they emailed me to book the flights)

I called him after this. I couldn’t book them on expedia because it was too close to the flight time. Anthony didn’t want to book anything so I had sales slut call US Airline and book the tickets for them. We sent Anthony the info. 20 minutes later sales guy called me and told me that US Air had cancelled the flight.

What’s your number? This is getting crazy. There is a connection in Washington. It gets them to PC around 5 pm but if that connection is missed then obviously they won’t be here.

Notice this fucker didn’t get back to me for 30 minutes when I asked for his number and said that we need to fix this ASAP. He was just lallygagging it through the day like it ain’t no thing. At this point I pretty much stopped emailing him because he wasn’t getting back to me and started calling him which sucks because I don’t have documentatation of how absurd it got. Essentially the next step was that we tried to get them a car service because they wouldn’t book it on their own. So me and the Sales guy started calling every car service we could think of in NYC. Unfortunately most of them were already booked, but we did manage to find a couple that could pick them up in NY. But the catch is the ones we found we couldn’t pay for it on our credit card because we wouldn’t be there to show the card when the driver picked them up. So I called Chiddy’s manager and told him the situation and that we had a car ready to go. He just had to give his credit card info. Again we promised to reimburse Chiddy Bang when they arrived but they REFUSED to do that. Awesome.
Finally we’re able to find a car service that will pick them up and accept our credit card. This took probably 2 hours of calling around and wasted time. Problem solved right? Wrong. Because one of the guys was still in Queens and the other guy was in Manhatten. Yup it never occurred to them that they should get together in one spot to save time. Instead the car service had to drive to downtown Manhatten at 4pm to pick one guy up and then had to drive to Queens to pick the other guy up. They thought they had time because they didn’t think they’d hit traffic. Yup they were suprised they hit traffic at rush hour in New York fucking city! Again since 11:30am we were telling them just to get here and we’d pay them for the costs of whatever they did. It’s not like we’re talking about travelling from Africa to Providence. I mean if they jumped in a fucking rental car at 1pm they would have been there by soundcheck. But instead it took them until 4pm for the first guy to get into a car. How many Accella trains do you think they missed in that time period. Oh wait, Chiddy Bang doesn’t travel by train.
Long story short Chiddy Bang was supposed to be in Providence for sound check at 4pm. They were supposed to be on stage at 8:20. They decided the first flight we booked wasn’t good enough for them. The second flight got cancelled. (not their fault) They refused to book a car service on their own. They had one guy in Queens and one guy in Manhattan. And when they finally did get on the road we couldn’t get a hold of anybody to get an update on where they were in route. In fact this was the first message we got from their manager. He actually had the balls to ask to put people on the guest list

Naturally their agents who are also Posner’s agents call me up at 8:30pm telling me Chiddy will be there in 30 minutes to 45 minutes, but they still want to come and do Smoke and Drive with Posner and will do a quick set. It was a little after 8:30pm with Chiddy Bang still at least a half an hour away (although we never got to talk to them directly) and 5 hours late. Now Chiddy is on their twitter page saying I wasn’t organized and his agents are saying I cancelled him. Is this fake life or what? Like stop being a little pussy and blaming this on me. Be a fucking man and admit you fucked up. You fucking dillydallied all day until it was too fucking late and you missed the show. You were 5 fucking hours late. You missed your set time by an hour. I have no idea why the original flight was changed, I was the one to drop him at the airport. All i knew was the plans changed and a car was to pick him up. Thanks for answering. I’m not here to rip the artist(s), but it really does seem like their management is not doing a great job. It may not be Chiddy’s responsibility to worry about why flights are changing, etc, but he should worry about being represented by management that is on top of everything, at all times. Doesn’t seem like that’s the situation he’s in right now.
And I’m not saying it was perfectly fine for EP to call out Chiddy, but he only did that in response to Chiddy posting on Twitter that the mix up was the promoter’s (EP’s) fault. That doesn’t seem to be entirely true. Seems like the flight change (requested by management) was what screwed everything up, not really El Pres.
I only came at EP’s head because of the language he used with my brother. This whole situation could have been avoided, yes. But people are people and they make mistakes. I can’t defend the management, because i dont know what happened on that end. But I can defend my younger brother.
They were late, yes. But they also ended up in a car driving from ny to ri through rush hour, when they got there they were ready to give the fans whatever they could give them, given the situation. In my brothers eyes, he jumped through so many hurdles to get there and at that point they were ready to perform even a shortened set so make some people if not all happy and couldn’t because they were probably told by the promoter that they couldnt.
Never did they deny that they were late, they were indeed late. BUT, they made it and were ready to do something to repair the situation and were not allowed. That is what he was referring to.

And it’s easy to say we didn’t let them repair what they did. Were you on the phone for half an hour with their agents who wanted them to be able to show god knows when so they could play for 5 minutes and get paid in full?
One thing I love is seeing these artists say “I’d play for free in the parking lot” Yeah well your agent is saying a very differnent thing. They wanted to show up 5 hours late. screw up the whole night. Play for 10-20 minutes. Make Posner play for 20 minutes and everybody gets paid in full.
PS – They were coming to providence anyway. That’s why they kept coming. They were flying out of there.
