DM – Courtney Scaramella, 23, a former waitress at a California sportsbar, says she was fired after she refused to slip into a revealing skirt while slinging beers. Ms Scaramella said that the outfit was indecent, made her job difficult to perform, and that it objectified her and her coworkers. She now wants unspecified damages from O’Hara’s in Westwood, but the bar fired back and said she was never unfairly terminated, she quit. Ms Scaramella said that she worked at the bar without incident for four years as a happy employee. Then, new managers took over and replaced her black slacks and blouse uniform with a skimpy plaid skirt. ‘It wasn’t fair to me, it wasn’t fair to the other girls who were working there,’ she said to KTLA.

For the life of me I can’t understand stories like this. Hey Courtney, no one is making you dress like a slut. No one has a gun to your head. You don’t like the outfit you’re more than welcome to quit. Plenty of other chicks who are willing to flash schoolgirl ass for tips. This happened under new ownership. Gee, wonder why that was? Maybe the patrons weren’t so thrilled about their cocktail servants waiting on them in burkas or whatever you’d prefer to wear. Sex sells toots, excuse the owners for trying to keep from going under. A job is a job is a job. You think I like dressing up like a fucking canary and strutting that ass all over stage? No but I do it because the checks clear and the crowd loves it. If I ever quit there’s 100 kids who will line up for the job because the economy sucks. There’s no shortage of morons who want to party all night in idiot costumes and there’s no shortage of sluts in LA who could use a few bucks. If you don’t want the job you can take your feminism and your miniskirt and go fuck yourself.
