Did anyone ever think we were gonna lose that game? Serious question. Thought for sure Pierce was going in but you wanna take it OT? Fine we’ll take it to OT. Doesn’t matter. The moment it was announced Ray Allen was playing I knew it would be easy as pie. Been looking for scoring off the bench and Jesus delivered in spades. Compile that with Rondo being Rondo and getting his 7th playoff triple-double and it wasn’t even an issue that Pierce decided to take the night off. Not that he didn’t deserve it after his game 2 performance.
Bottom line is this team wins with grit and balls. Ray toughing out an injury and the team winning a defensive battle in OT is fucking grit and balls.
I might buy one of those shirts just to use as a happy sock. Hell, it would be covered in 10 month-old crusty jizz and would probably stink to high heaven, but odds are it would be more aesthetically appeasing than it is right now.

Yeah the c’s played like dog shit down the stretch, but joe johnson hit some shots that had no business going in. pietrus did a good job on him. but teague going off is inexcusable. rondo has to do a waaay better job. for the things he did well tonight he did a bunch of things terribly.

I can’t take this anymore, maybe I have no life but I went and re-watched the 2008 hawks FIRST round series with the hawks! You know the one where we were the 1 seed and the hawks an under .500 eight? That was as ugly as basketball gets. So fucking what?! The hawks are a matchup nightmare who play the celtics tough. Meanwhile the celtics have won 2 straight with 2 different starting backcourts. Haters going to hate, but I will tell you why the celtics will be in the finals, at the end of game 1 it was the hawks with the fucking confetti, tonight in Philly again more confetti, here in Boston after the final buzzer sounded it was doc grabbing KG and continuing to COACH him! Going to the basket instead of running the play clock down to 5 and heaving up horrible shots have alot.more to do with the game then grit and balls. I hope they get their shit together but at this point in the playoffs you can’t possibly be optimistic that this team will end up in the finals.
You are right about this particular game but history tells me that the good teams find a way….long term I hope that somehow they stay relativly healthy, doc still doesn’t have a night in and night out playoff rotation

Gilroy, i agree with most of what you said. This team reminds me of the Mgs last year. Expirience and smart, well coached blah blah blah. But im not sure we have the bench to do real damage. Could be wrong. I do think the C’s are the only team in the East that can beat the Heat. Next round we should draw either Philly or Chicago(i think). Both very winable series. I think Boston can def make it to the finals. And Buddy, your right bro but the Celtics have looked like shit in most of their wins this year. This game was just Par for the course. Grit and Balls!!!

1) the C.’s had a lot of wide open jumpers that they flat out missed. 2) that game shouldn’t nearly have been that close. 3) “As easy as they come” really? They were up 8 with 3 and a half to go and blew it. That’s inexcusable. 4) We witnessed an irrationally confident PP tonight. All the media is sucking his dick after game 2 making him feel like the man and he kept hoisting up bad shot after bad shot tonight. I love PP but this isn’t 5 years ago…the best C’s basketball is team basketball and not PP-centric basketball. 5) never thought I’d say this but we are fucked without Avery Bradley. 6) can you imagine what this rejuvenated team would be with some young athleticism like Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox…damn shame
