Good Marlins Vs. Nats Brawl
I haven’t been paying that much attention to sports since Tito left Buchholz in for the 8th in Game 2 vs. Tampa which ended our season. But having said that I totally have the Nat’s guy’s back here. I don’t think he did anything wrong at any point and time. That play when he ran over the catcher looked clean to me. And I have no problem with him stealing 2nd and 3rd after getting beamed on purpose. And I’d charge the mound too if they threw behind me after they already hit me earlier in the game. So I’m not sure why everybody is painting that dude as the bad guy. Seemed totally justified every step of the way to me.

It’s “beaned” not “beamed” and that only refers to a guy getting hit in the head not plunked in the back. That being said I never fault a guy for playing hard. Morgan was stealing in the 4th inning, it’s not like it was the 8th. You keep playing the game.

Morgan went out of his way to run into the Marlins catcher a few nights ago, so I believe the first time he got hit was warranted, and he took it like a man.
However, one time is enough and I can’t say I blame Morgan for charing after he got hit the second time. Also, Gabby Sanchez or whatever his name is, is a complete pussy for laying out Morgan while he was going after the pitcher. If you want to get in on it, square up with him.
Earlier this summer, Morgan, in CF, effs up a long fly at the wall. So what does this consumate professional do? He ignores the ball rolling away, and whips his glove straight down onto the ground like he’s 7 years old – the LF had to shag it. Result? Inside the park HR. Why so pissed, you ask? He misplayed a ball the SAME WAY a few days before. (Quick learner). Bwahahahaha. How about CF for the AAA Harrisburg Senators until he learns to act like a professional.
agreed completely on plowing the catcher, that was a clean play. Sucks the guy got hurt but that’s the way it goes.
actually corylidle, if the fans got invovled we (the marlins) would have been outnumbered. usually the stadium is full of the other teams fans.
