Oregon — When a teacher admits to sex with a student, you wouldn’t expect it to take years to ban that teacher from a classroom. But this was the case in Umatilla County. A teacher admitted she couldn’t keep herself away from what she called “hot boys” at Umatilla High School… The agency that monitors teachers says Kristle Vandever, 44, violated five major codes while teaching in the Umatilla School District. The “Teacher Standards and Practices Commission,” known as TSPC, reports evidence of Vandever providing alcohol to students and performing a sex act on a teen in her car. Oregon says some of the sex acts were recorded on a cell phone and shown to other students…And, it took two years to ban her from a classroom. Police told KEPR there wasn’t enough evidence to prove a crime. It’s disturbing when you consider her own words. In an email Vandever sent to the school district, she explains that getting out of jail time was ‘because of luck’ and she ‘can’t help wanting these hot young boys.’

Say what you want about Kristle Vandever.  You might not be a fan of your tax dollars going to pay some 44 year old hot mess so she can spend her days trolling the school hallways for underage dick.  But you can’t argue with her style.  How did she stay out of the pen and keep her teaching license all this time?  With the oldest trick in the book: she played the Colorful Rogue card.  There’s nothing America loves better than a criminal who owns up to it with a wink and a smile.  Kristle might as well be Capone in “The Untouchables” saying “On a boat, it’s bootlegging. On Lake Shore Drive, it’s hospitality. I’m a businessman!”  “Sure I banged kids and let them video it while I went down on them.  In school it’s depravity.  In my car, it’s sex with a hot young boy!  I’m a Sex Scandal Teacher!” She might be warped and twisted beyond words.  But at least she’s not a phony.

The Grades:
Looks: You can’t really tell from those pictures.  And granted, no one looks good after running a road race and chugging beers.  (Well, Pippa Middleton would.) But still I see nothing here to help her grade any.  I have to go Grade: C-.
Moral Compass/Bad Judgment: What can you say?  Sex.  Videos.  Showing them all over school then coming to work every day.  Bragging about it.  She’s the Victor Cruz of SSTs.  You might hate her doing the Salsa in the faces of the TSPC and the Umatilla Police.  But if you can’t stop her, she earned the right to dance and all you can do it take it.  Grade: A+
Intangibles: “Kristle Vandever.” It’s remarkable what percentage of Sex Scandal Teacher have amazing porn names.  Grade: A.
Overall: I wanted to grade her higher, I really did.  It’s only because of heart and effort I didn’t give her a D- in looks.  But I can’t tweak this overall grade any higher than a C+. Pity.
