Boston.com - A new Miss Boston will be crowned on Feb. 19 at this year’s pageant, which is taking place at the Omni Parker House. See the contestants vying for this year’s title.

So Boston.com had a big thing today on Miss Boston which I guess is happening tomorrow night. To be honest I’m not even sure what Miss Boston is?  Honestly what it is?  Is it like the Miss Boatonian?  Anyway regardless of the fact nobody really knows what it is people have been emailing me asking me to handicap the 12 finalists.   Well who am I to deny what the people want?   So here you go.  Here are the top 6 finishers for this thing.  Yes I said 6.  The bottom six I think entered the wrong contest and I’ll leave it at that….

ODDS – 2-1

Katie Fuhrman –
Hometown: Stockton, Calif.
Age: 23
Alma mater: California University of Sonoma

Bio: After graduating from California University of Sonoma, Katie is currently the Editor-in-Chief at Education First.

My only worry about this chick is she seemingly has nothing to do with Boston.   It’s almost like the movie Diggstown.  They just flew her in and she’s been living under the Omni Parker House for the last 6 months getting her citizenship papers waiting for this moment.

ODDS 3-1

Kelsey Beck
Hometown: Winter Park, Fla.
Age: 20
College: Harvard University

Bio: Currently studying at Harvard University, Kelsey’s platform is to be an advocate for the elderly.

This girl 100% thinks she’s going to win because she goes to Harvard.  That’s how all Harvard people think.  Like when they ask her how she’ll solve world hunger she’ll just answer with “I went to Harvard”.   And in the end that will cost her the crown.    Overconfidence kills.

ODDS – 5-1

Morgan Berg
Hometown: Lakeville, Minn.
Age: 21
College: University of Massachusetts, Boston

Bio: A nursing major at University of Massachusetts Boston, Morgan hopes to fulfill a lifelong dream of participating in the Miss America pageant.

Is anybody in this thing even from here?  Seems kind of weird to have all foreigners in a Miss Boston competition right?  Anyway if I was a judge this would be who I’d vote for to win.    Even though she’s from Minnesota she looks like she hangs out at Stats every Sunday.  Probably does.

ODDS 6-1

Angela Christoforos
Hometown: Salem
Age: 23
College: Suffolk University

Bio: A Broadcast Journalism major at Suffolk University, Angela believes that her Greek heritage and father’s strong work ethic have taught her the path to success. It is a lifelong dream of Angela’s to be a part of an organization that promotes well-rounded women and also be able to give a voice to her platform of funding autism research.

Finally a local chick.   Anyway Angela raises the question of whether you can you drip too much sex from Miss Boston?   I think you can.    If this was a who do you want to have sexual relations with contest she wins.  But this is a Miss Boston contest whatever that means.

ODDS 9-1

Dana Ray
Hometown: Roxbury
Age: 22
College: Massachusetts College of Pharmacy

Bio: Currently studying at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Dana’s ambition is to receive a Doctorate of Pharmacy and practice Veterinary medicine.

She’s got the whole white girl from Roxbury thing on lockdown.   A cute girl next door smile and she’s a vet.   May be a major overlay here.   Vegas may have missed this one.  In fact if I had to pick one girl to shock the world this would be it.   She would be my Budweiser Longshot.

Giving off an apathetic vibe doesn’t win championships.

Field -  500,000 – 1

Boston.com has the rest of the field. No reason to make girls cry today.  Plus it’s Friday and I’m sick of working.
