ESPN – Lance Armstrong confessed during an interview Monday with Oprah Winfrey that he used performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press.The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the interview is to be broadcast Thursday on Winfrey’s network. A source told ABC News that Armstrong is also talking to cycling authorities about naming names of others involved in illegal doping in hopes of reducing his lifetime ban. USADA chief executive Travis Tygart labeled the doping regimen allegedly carried out by the U.S. Postal Service team that Armstrong once led, “The most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen.” In a text to the AP on Saturday, Armstrong said: “I told her (Winfrey) to go wherever she wants and I’ll answer the questions directly, honestly and candidly. That’s all I can say.”

This has to be the most hyped up interview about nothing in the history of the world right? Like ESPN has it as breaking news on their scroll 24/7 that Lance Armstrong is going to finally confess to Oprah that he doped. Hey guess what asshole? Too late. You had 9 million opportunities to admit the truth and you lied everytime even though everybody knew you were lying. You can’t confess now. . Everybody already knows you cheated. You got caught red handed. You can’t confess after you get caught. It’s like getting convicted for a crime and then admitting you did it in jail so you can get a shortened sentence. You don’t get credit for that. But that’s not even the point of this blog. Instead how about this guy getting ready to roll on all his former teammates? Just ratting everybody out so he can reduce his lifetime ban even though he’s retired. Vintage and I mean vintage Lance Armstrong. Guy is the biggest scumbag going. I’d have way more respect for him if he just kept his mouth shut and kept denying it. Be a man for once and go down with the ship. Typical one ball pussy.

PS – Overall this is media 101 right here.  Nothing they love doing more than building a guy up and tearing him down.   Anybody with a brain knew that Lance was cheating when he was winning all those bike rides.  But did anybody say anything?  Nope.   He was superhuman.   He was Sportsman of the Year.   He was on the cover of every magazine in the world.   People gladly paid him to endorse their products.   EVERYBODY knew he was a cheater.   So why should he have to confess or apologize to anybody now?   I hate him because he’s an asshole.   Not because he doped.   Same thing goes with baseball players too.    If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a million times.  I would 1 million percent cheat if I was a pro athlete.  Only difference is I would admit it right away and I wouldn’t apologize for it.
