Jim Harbaugh Said He’ll Handle the Loss With Class and Grace, Then Spends All Week it on the Refs
NEW ORLEANS — San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was understandably unhappy after losing Super Bowl XLVII by the agonizing score of 34-31… “You know, I really want to handle this with class and grace, and we had several opportunities in this game,” Harbaugh said just a few minutes after the game ended. “We didn’t play our best game, and the Ravens made a lot of plays and battled back. They competed to win. But there’s no question in my mind that it was a pass interference, and hold on [Michael] Crabtree on the last one….”I didn’t think that was interference, either, on that second-to-last drive.”
SRI – Jim Harbaugh admits that he won’t ever forget losing to his brother in Super Bowl XLVII, but the 49ers head coach also sounds as though he’s still a little upset that a flag wasn’t thrown… “I would say it exactly like Bill Polian: A penalty is a penalty no matter when it occurs in a game. It could occur in the first play of the game. It could occur on the last play of the game, or any play in between. That’s the rules of football. You let ‘em play or let ‘em get away with something. Which would you rather have? Let’s play the rules of the game. … If there’s a penalty then it’s a penalty — doesn’t matter what kind of game. … It’s the rules of football. If it’s a penalty, you call it. If you see it, you call it. That’s how I feel about it.”
It’s worth mentioning that Jim Harbaugh also stormed off the field, refusing to be interviewed by Steve Tasker. I’m sure you know that from the way he’s been angrily denounced by Shannon Sharpe, derided as a sore loser nationwide and attacked by a thousand axe-grinding pundits complaining he thinks the rules all other coaches abide by don’t apply to him. Wait. None of those things happened. Because Harbaugh is still a protected class of coaches and Belichick is Public Enemy No. 1. Can you imagine for one second the treatment the Hooded One would be getting right now if he blamed a Super Bowl loss on the refs? It would be a lot worse than Shannon Sharpe ripping him, I promise you that. He’d be facing fines. The commissioner would be taking draft picks away. They’d be forming posses and storming Gillette with torches and pitchforks. Widespread civil unrest. The President would be declaring Martial Law to quell the rioting. But Jim Harbaugh says he’s handling it with class and grace, so he gets a pass. Hey, asshole: You’ve been in the league two years. Get a few pelts on your saddle before you start making excuses for when your team blows a 1st & goal from inside the 5. Maybe if you didn’t take Frank Gore off the field, let your quarterback run the ball or knew what the hell to do when Baltimore telegraphed to the world they were coming with a blitz on 4th & goal, the refs wouldn’t be an issue. And modeling your complaining after legendary Sandy Vagina Bill Polian doesn’t help your credibility one bit, Noob. Is that classy and graceful enough for you?
Just keep in mind, Mrs. Harbaugh’s uterus has now produced 20% as many Lombardi trophies as Mama Belichick’s had. @JerryThornton1

Nice title asshole.
“Then Spends All Week it on the Refs”

Hangh?
I think you accidentally a word.
Awful Blog
Spot on Jerry and anyone who hates patriots fans take a look at Niners fans they are the worst people alive
Blaming is easy word to overlook in a title. I can see how that could happen its not like the central word in the theme of your title or anything
“It’s worth mentioning that Jim Harbaugh also stormed off the field, refusing to be interviewed by Steve Tasker.”
Didn’t the coach of some undefeated team that lost a few years back do the SAME EXACT thing?
with that being said, it’s hilarious how Pats fans ALWAYS find a way to take something that has nothing to do with them whatsoever, and bitch about what would have been if you were in that situation. shut.the.fuck.up.
I stopped reading once the Patriots were mentioned.
Did you even watch the final 2 minutes of that game old man? Ravens got away with murder.
Jerry is to Belichick what a black voter is to Obama.
nice english. im going to spend all weekend it on the sauce.
Jerry, She’s also produced 33% of the losses that Mama Bellichick has! Bellichick has lost 3. John Harbaugh 1. Since you’re going all coordinator on us!!! Such a dipshit!!!
“Just keep in mind, Mrs. Harbaugh’s uterus has now produced 20% as many Lombardi trophies as Mama Belichick’s had”
Easily one of the Top 10 worst sentences ever written.
I WANT CAKE NOW!
@haley, did you read the whole blog?? Pretty sure Jerry’s point was that BB got heat for turning down the interview but nobody has called Harbaugh on it.
As a lifelong 49ers fan, it’s sort of a bummer that Harbaugh was so vocal about losing. I think its because they were getting their ass handed to them, came back, then fell short in the end. No way Crabtree could have caught that pass, but he was getting raped. Don’t matter, Kaepernick, a healthier WR crew, a pissed of defense and the agony of defeat will get them back or damn close to the Super Bowl. Harbaugh is a beast. I’ll forgive the guy. 49ers were aweful, then he came in and has gone to the NFC Championship and Superbowl in his first two seasons!
He’s actually been in the league 4 years as a coach and this wasnt even his first super bowl trip.
jerry is hands down the worst.
@thisisjoelrobinson, sorry brotha. This is Jim Harbaugh’s 2nd year as the 49ers head coach. He’s only taken them to the Super Bowl once in his 2 year stink. Only.
So I guess it’s like the Pats fans still complaining about all the holding on the Tyree helmet catch ?
Jerry is a stupid shitball.
