LeBron Decision Ohio Basketball

ESPN - LeBron James won’t rule out returning to play for Cleveland some day, but admitted in an interview with GQ Magazine that owner Dan Gilbert’s letter to fans on the night James left the Cavaliers gives him “a lot of motivation” for when he and his new Miami Heat teammates play his former club. James told GQ: “I understand that a lot of people would be hurt” in Cleveland by his decision, but also said that growing up, he and his friends from Akron didn’t always like Cleveland. Akron is about 40 miles south of Cleveland. “It’s not far, but it is far,” James told GQ. “And Clevelanders, because they were the bigger-city kids when we were growing up, looked down on us. … So we didn’t actually like Cleveland. We hated Cleveland growing up. There’s a lot of people in Cleveland we still hate to this day.” And he said Cleveland fans were “awesome” but didn’t take back his comment late last season that those around him were “spoiled” by his play. “I love our fans. Cleveland fans are awesome,” he told GQ. “But I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court.”

But I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court.”

Lebron James

You can’t make this shit up. You really can’t. Even Lebron’s family gets spoiled watching him do the things he does on and off the court? How can anybody say something that arrogant on the record? Like it’s one thing to think this shit, but to say it to GQ? It’s literally stunning. I mean is he that dumb or does he just not care about his image anymore? Or is he just so detached from reality that he has no comprehension how this stuff looks and sounds to real people? I honestly can’t tell. I mean pretty much everybody is in agreement now that he is the most self absorbed, arrogant, egotistical human being on the planet, but I’m just confused on whether he realizes this yet? Somehow I don’t think he does. That’s why he’s still rationalizing his decision to go to Miami by saying Ohio people actually hate Cleveland because of all the bourgeoisie who live there, so in a way he was still representing Ohio by leaving.   Seriously it’s fascinating to watch really.    I wonder if at any point in his life he’ll regret anything he’s done?   Or will he just live in Lebronland forever always thinking he’s perfect and people should just be thankful that he exists?
