MTV Is Full Of Shit… Will Not Show Snookie Getting Punched In the Face After All
Eonline – I can exclusively report, that MTV has decided to pull footage from next week’s episode showing housemate Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, 21, being closed-fist clocked in the face by a man during an altercation at a local bar…Network execs ordered the cuts after downloaded copies of last night’s on-air promo showing the sucker-punch went viral. “What happened to Snooki was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing,” MTV said in a written statement. “After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context not to show the severity of this act or resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air Snooki being physically punched in the face.” However, the fight and its aftermath will be addressed in the episode, which will also end with a message from the loveisrespect and Teen Dating Abuse Helpline organization. An MTV rep says no further cuts are planned for the series.
And here I was wondering why MTV sent me a cease and desist order on Friday Night ordering me to take down the video of Snookie getting punched in the face. Now it makes sense. They are going to try and erase it from the annals of time. Well not on my watch MTV. Not on my watch. Because I swear that as long as I am still breathing air into these lungs , the Snookie punch will live on in infamy on the pages of Barstool Sports.
Seriously MTV can spare me the sob story about how they didn’t know this clip would go viral and how it was taken out of context, bla,blah,blah.. Bullshit. It was a 1 second clip. How do you take that out of context? And it’s not like they showed the punch once and then pulled it immediately either. They fucking showed on every preview and after both episodes this season. It was publicity 101. They wanted people talking about Jersey Shore and that’s exactly what they got. So sorry but it’s not fair to tickle peoples balls with this clip and then be like “oops we’re not showing it because we didn’t realize it would get taken out of context and become we didn’t realize it’s wrong to punch chicks in the face” Fuck you! This was a con job from the word go and I’m not going to stand for it. I better see that punch this week or else I may boycott this show. Or worse yet start making tshirts about it.

You can’t knock MTV for trying to up the hype on this. Jersey Shore is the most talked about thing they’ve had in years. They’ve become otherwise completely irrelevant. They know they’ve finally got a winner on their hands, and they are going to do everything possible to milk it. They want to it pulled and not shown so people so they can then cave and give the people what they want, being a little edgy in the process. It’s actually not a bad idea. But don’t cave, Pres, because they won’t do shit about it.
