WCVB – David Scott was hired as a full-time officer by the Barnstead Police Department in 2009, on the condition that he successfully completed the New Hampshire Full-Time Police Academy. Scott passed all of the academic exams and met requirements in bench presses, sit-ups and push-ups, but failed 12 times over the next two years to complete a 1.5-mile run in the allotted time, finishing 11 seconds too slow in his best run. Scott, who was already a part-time officer, requested in December 2011 that the academy waive the run requirement to allow him become a full-time officer, but they refused. Women in the same age group are allowed nearly three minutes more time than men on the same 1.5-mile run, leading Scott to file the lawsuit, which said that the “defendant has discriminated against plaintiff on the basis of his sex.”

Could not be more upset with David Scott. This is as low as it gets. I mean, he’s right. He’s totally right. Making the male fitness test harder than the female fitness test is 100% sexual discrimination. Feminists are always yelling about equality, right? Why aren’t they protesting in New Hampshire because all the chick cops have it too easy? I’m pretty sure there’s no such thing as separate but equal. Anyway that’s not my point. My point is that David Scott whining about it is bullshit. Such a bad look for men everywhere. We’re the silent sufferers. And as much as that sucks most of the time, I wear it like a badge of honor. Men don’t sue for sexual discrimination. Men get in the gym and get under their 1.5 mile run under the allotted time. Leave the lawsuits and the protesting and the naked rallies to crazy feminist chicks.

And what’s best case scenario here anyway? Barnstead Police realize you’re right and make you a legitimate police officer? That oughta be a blast. I’m sure the dude who had to sue the academy to let him use the chicks’ fitness requirements will have it real easy on the force. Good luck bro.
