SportsbyBrooks is reporting today that Arizona Cardinals D-Tackle Darnell Dockett accepted a $1000 offer to take a shower and broadcast it over the net via Ustream. There’s so much wrongness here, I don’t even know where to start. So I guess I’ll just begin by asking how it’s worth a thousand bucks to anyone to see his junk. If you’re into that sort of thing, aren’t there about a hundred million sites you can go to see it for free? I suppose the fact that he’s an NFL player makes it worth the money to someone? I don’t know. I guess as time and technology move forward, I’ve completely lost any notion of what depravity costs. I mean, Lawrence Taylor pays $300 to a 16 year old runaway to watch him jerk off. Now someone pays three times that to watch Darnell Dockett soaping up his wedding tackle. Go figure. I suppose we need the pervert market to correct itself so we can sort out what this type of thing should cost. The way Beckett’s standardized the price of baseball cards back in the late ’80s. Because I just can’t imagine that it’s worth a thousand bucks just to watch a football player take a shower. Unless the player in question was Tom Brady, in which case I’d mortgage my house.
