Nick Green Draws Best Two Strikeout Walk In History of Baseball
BAHAHAAH!
Nobody takes a strike right down the middle to tie a game like Nick Green. Heidi Watney better bring her A game to the sack tonight to congratulate his ass for that at bat. You can’t teach that type of eye. You got to be born with it.
haha I’m glad to see you’re embracing those calls pres…also when did you guys sign Juan Rivera??
Why on earth would you pinch hit Nick Green for anybody outside of Jason Vairtek. Mind boggling.
Heidi Watney actually pinch hit Nick Green for Jason Varitek.
Juan Rivera’s decision to a.) not run hard and b.) not dive was just mind-boggling.
Among the worst endings to a game I’ve ever seen.
Mike Scioscia is a fucking dickhead. He has a legit beef about Nick Green but the guy runs his fat ass on the field to argue EVERY call. Even the calls that aren’t even close, like when “Snoop” from The Wire dropped the double play ball in the 6th.
Guess what Mike, you’re never going to get a call in your favor when you bitch all game every game.
two words: Watney Juju
Juan Rivera makes Manny Ramirez look like a Gold Glove outfielder.
Definitely awful strike calls but the Angels should have never let it get that close. How many botched double plays did they have during the game? They never seem to man up and take responsibility for anything which is why they’ve been perpetual losers in the playoffs the last few years.
holy crap, where are the screen shots and commentary on the gaggle of women who were just behind home plate who fing talked as if at a coffee clatch the whole fing game!?! Even my 12 yr old daughter noticed, there was one (the older blond) who literally didnt watch a single pitch but blathered on the whole time. as a parting glance they were long gone in the 9th, of course….
Not to defend it, that was a bad call plain and simple, but the pitcher isn’t going to get many calls like that when he stays that high for 7 out of 8 pitches and then expects to get a strike call low on pitch 9?
[...] off their back and beat the Red Sox in five. The umpires give the Angels make-up calls for the strike(s) they forgot to call a month back. Ortiz gets a standing ovation after game four in Boston because everyone, including him, knows [...]
