I just reversed my stance on replay if an official calls for one.
I don’t know if there’s a precedent, but MLB has to change this tomorrow and credit him with a perfect game.

Technically they can overturn the call and make it an error thus giving him a no-hitter. But a prefect game, that is long gone.

I have never been a huge fan of complete instant replay, but sometimes it takes drastic things to help ppl make up their minds. This blown call definitely made up my mind. I’ve had enough of all the fuckups. Get instant replay in baseball NOW!

you cant protest a judgement call first of all. Secondly, theyre not going to overturn it for a perfect game if they didnt overturn a similar play in the 1985 world series that cost the Cardinals a championship.

Jim Joyce was the ump that called Mark Bellhorn’s home run a double in game 6 of the 2004 ALCS. The umps got together and reversed the call-just like they reversed the call later in that game when A-Rod bitchslapped the ball out of Bronson Arroyo’s glove. Have umpires ever gotten together since to reverse calls? Should have happened tonight, if ever. Replay should be instituted tonight.
Galarraga just made me dislike latino baseball a little less, he was very classy.

Mistake or not, this brings up a topic in sports that needs addressing: Why are referees in the major pro sports so bad at their job, yet protected so much? Everyone should know by now these ‘referees’ are just incompetent wannabe’s. In the NBA, not one ref played in the league, they are all short and/or bald guys who is on their own program. In the NFL, they are old, fat and need replay to fix every call. In the NHL, they are failed hockey players who know how to skate, but who also is also on their own agenda. You can get a consistant call game after game. And lastly, their is MLB. The easiest of them all. Umpires. They have to stand there and get 2-3 plays right a game. They are old, fat, and have the biggest egos known to man. No wonder they all drop of heartattacks. Mistake or not, when someone f**ks up this bad, they need to be fired like any other job. I’m just glad it happened so that finally people can give some fair critizism of these bozos. The bottom line is, none of them are held accountable.
