And people wonder why Ohio State is on probation, can’t compete in a bowl this year and is the poster child for everything that is wrong with college football and America in general? Well this is why. Two words. Institutional chaos. It makes SMU in the 80′s look like Harvard. Just the most despicable program in the country. No rules, no classes, no academic requirements, no morals. Yet despite all this Ohio State still has never beaten Michigan during the Brady Hoke era. NOT ONCE. That’s what makes being a Michigan Man so special. We do it the right way. Student athletes vs. criminals and we still find a way to win. It’s hope, it’s inspiration, it’s the Michigan way.

this is 100% accurate. it’s high time we all stopped pretending that these guys are just regular students. my housemate in college was a big deal football player for UMass, which we all know is a joke in the grand scheme of NCAA football. Never saw this kid crack a book, attend a class, or sweat a final. Just wake up, work out, come home, smoke blunts, play Madden, eat dinner, hit the club, smash a groupie, rinse, repeat. They need to be paying these kids, all the money they bring in. Or at least give an option between a scholarship or straight cash. Or better yet, just get a good minor league system like baseball and hockey have. True story: another UMass football player i knew was dumb as a box of wrenches. This kid could get rejected from community college. I was at graduation for my girl’s sister, and i bump into him with a cap and gown on. Couldn’t believe it. But i was glad for him. I said, “yo, CONGRATS, man, seriously. this is a big thing. so what’s your next move?” and he says “i’m finna go get something to eat…” ‘Nuff said.
