Any pitcher in the history of the game could have been a closer, the better ones just tend to become starters because it impacts the game more. Craig Kimbrel was a nobody last year, and now he’s the best closer in the game. The amazing thing about Mo wasn’t the fact that he could close games with the best of them, it was that he could do it year in year out for pushing 2 decades.
