(Yahoo) -- Pacman Jones’ off-field history is no secret and when he spoke on the Rookie Symposium panel last week, he related that he “made it rain” more than once in his life — and more than once, the bill was ridiculous when all was said and done. Former Stanford and current Indianapolis Colts rookie tight end Coby Fleener, guest-writing for Peter King in King’s Monday Morning Quarterback column for SI.com, broke the news. Fleener was in the audience, watching the panel of Jones and Terrell Owens, moderated by Ross Tucker. The entire Fleener column is a great read, but what Fleener had to say about Jones’ talk really stood out. “Jones contacted the NFL and asked to be at the symposium to share what he had learned with the rookies,” Fleener wrote. “Jones said there will not be another “Pacman” in the NFL, and credited [NFL Commissioner Roger] Goodell for having changed him as a person. Jones understood that he put himself in a position to be suspended. Jones regretfully recounted spending $1 million in one weekend!

I love that people are surprised by this. A bunch of rookies are like whoa let’s not let this happen to us! A million dollars at a strip club in a weekend? Sounds downright irresponsible. We’re not talking about a monk here. This was Pacman Jones. The guy who made the phrase “making it rain” as popular as it was. I’d be more surprised to learn that Pacman went to a strip club once and didn’t spend a million dollars. Or if I learned that Pacman ever gave a dollar to charity or something along those lines. But surprised he threw his arm out while throwing George Washington’s at chicks in g strings? Par for the course.

PS – you know Pacman an TO love this. It’s the ultimate form of humble bragging. They go out there and pretend to be sad and a cautionary tale but you know in their heads they’re just like yup, I fucking balled out.
