Well we get more than our fair share of charity requests from groups all over the Boston area here at the Stool, but this one really deserves a plug. It’s for the Play Ball! Foundation which provides Boston’s inner city kids opportunities to participate in athletics, and they’re having their 5th Annual Charity Boat Cruise on the “Spirit of Boston” a.k.a. Boston’s version of the Love Boat, next Wednesday night July 22 from 7 pm – 11 pm. Tickets are $125 and it includes open bar, light hors d’oeuvres, dancing and a live and silent auction. I’ve been on one of these party boats before and I’d be shocked if somebody doesn’t cannonball over the side by the end of the night. Hey, it’s all for a good cause. Also, after the cruise the Bustonian will be bussing people to a private party at JA Stats with complimentary “Play Ball punch” and pizza.
