I have absolutely no problem with KG here.
First of all, there’s a time to ask for autographs, and pregame isn’t one of them. It’s way out of line for ball boys to ask for autographs in pregame. Just do your job. That kid should probably be fired for asking in the first place. I’m almost positive they’re instructed not to do that. I’m sure after the game, KG would have probably done it.
Secondly, NBA ball boys aren’t boys. They’re probably 16-20 yrs old from what i’ve seen. They’re men. Stop making it out like he made an 8-yr old cry.
Third, athletes use the pregame to sharpen their focus. Especially a guy as intense as KG. The last thing they want to deal with is stupid distractions like autographs.
I’m guessing the vast majority of the people who have an issue with this have never competed in any sport at a reasonably high level.
