Rate This Michael Jackson Endzone Celebration Tribute

The Star - Maybe he should have tried moonwalking. Argonauts receiver Arland Bruce III’s decision to pay homage to Michael Jackson after scoring a touchdown in Wednesday’s CFL season opener in Hamilton will cost the veteran an unspecified amount of money. The league announced yesterday that it will fine Bruce for his “excessive actions” on his touchdown celebration, which cost the Argos 30 yards in penalties and earned Bruce special attention from head coach Bart Andrus. Bruce apologized to his teammates yesterday but didn’t sound apologetic following the game, when he said removing his helmet, jersey and pads before lying down corpse-like in the end zone was “a tribute to the King of Pop.”

This article hit the nail on the head.    If you’re going to do an Michael Jackson endzone tribute dance you got to moonwalk first followed by a choking sign and then and only then do you take your pads off and die.   Because to be totally I honest I’m not sure I would have understood this was a tribute to the King of Pop if I didn’t read the accompanying article.   I’m sure that’s why the league fined him.

PS – I’m not sure what our publishing schedule is today.   Jerry just told me he’s stuck at work.   Is anybody else working today?

umm, that guy needs to step up is choreography quite a bit, lovin the tribute idea but that was sad at best.
