CLERY RELEASE
Oct. 25, 2012

STATEMENT ON SIMILAR INCIDENT:

On Oct. 25th around 4:56 p.m. the University Police Department received a report of similar incident described in a previous Clery Release. The description of the suspect is very similar and a composite is available in a link below.

The University Police Department received a report of a third degree assault that occurred in the Hitt Street Garage on the fourth floor. A female victim stated while walking up the stairs in Hitt Street Garage she noticed a subject following her. She stopped and the subject walked up to her, got very close and stated “don’t I know you.” He did not touch her, but the victim felt threatened by the subject. The victim said “no I don’t know you,” and the subject walked away. The suspect is described as a white male, college-aged, approximately 6′ with a thin build, dark brown hair, dark eyes, braces on his teeth, and last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark sweatshirt.

The current victim was taken to the University Police Department where she was shown a composite of the individual made earlier in the day by the first victim. The second victim felt it might be the same person. This composite is available at the following link:

Both victims were African American females and neither received any injuries. No further information is available at this time.

Anyone with any information is requested to call Detective Sam Easley at (573) 884-3721, or CRIME STOPPERS at (573) 875-8477. Individuals may also submit tips on-line at875tips.com. You do not have to give your name and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1500 if your information leads to an arrest.

I was going to make fun of this story. Like since when can you arrest a guy for asking “Don’t I know you?” I mean I’m no law expert, but I’m pretty sure that doesn’t qualify as 3rd degree assault. But then I saw the composite sketch of the “Don’t I Know You Guy”. Scary as shit. I wouldn’t want this guy getting in my grillmix asking if he knew me either. No, you don’t know me brah. Get away from me creep show. Or do all composite sketches by the very nature of being a composite sketch look this menacing? I don’t know. I don’t trust this guy. Shady ass Don’t I Know You motherfucker.

PS – How do they not show the braces in the sketch?  That’s like the most identifiable thing.  Amateur hour sketch drawing.
