This would be a terrible move. If you’re looking for a slugger with bad knees, can’t play the outfield anymore, but will hit home runs, give Barry Bonds a call. He’d sign for Varitek money at this point.

Just so we’re clear….I would rather see Phil Plantier come back than Bonds.
