So… the Patriots Win?
Just got back. Here is the rule on FGs. The entire ball must pass inside the outside edge of the upright.
So the Patriots won then, right? I mean everyone knows Mike Pereria is the World’s Foremost Authority on NFL officiating. And there’s no way in Hell that ball went inside the goalposts. So this means the Pats are 2-1 and survived back-to-back games against Baltimore on missed last second chip shots. History repeats itself I guess. Wait, it doesn’t mean that? Turn those machines back on! Turn those machines back on! @JerryThornton1

the fix was in…mind bottling calls
There ya go….used the screenshot of when the ball was 3 yards past the upright.
im confused, those two retards calling the game on nbc told me that the replay clearly showed that it was good, despite the retarded angle they were using. god forbid we take another look at a scoring play to end the game though (probably find another phantom holding call on mccourty though)
when has chris collinsworth ever been wrong besides every time he opens his fucking mouth
shut the fuck up you lost go home
if the upright was a telephone pole that extended to the heavens, and the ball was a motorcycle, would the rider have died? yes, so the field goal should not have been good
how about the call in which the ravens were given a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for attempting to call a timeout? I guess thats anti patriots so it shouldnt even be recognized by barstool
The rule is that the entire ball must be inside the outer edge of the upright.
So, you post a picture that shows the entire ball was inside the outer edge of the upright as proof that the field goal wasn’t good?
I wish shit-for-brains Cris Collinsworth would shut his fucking mouth about the replacement refs. Sniveling twat is ruining my Sunday nights. Newsflash, cocksuckers: the old refs stunk like fishy pussy too. Just ask Orlando Brown.
this picture is from when the ball was already a few yards behind the upright. but i guess if the world’s foremost authority on leaving out key details, Jerry Thornton, says it was no good, then its no good, right?
Ravens called for 4 15-yard penalties. Patriots 0. Ravens given 5 yards and a free first down on a shitty holding call. Tom Brady interception negated on a shitty illegal contact call.
And you morons are bitching about the refs? They (as usual) tried to gift the Pats the game, but that defense needed at least 3 more bullshit calls against the Ravens to have any chance of winning…
Pats fan here, it was good. Calls both way were not what I’d like to see. McCourty got killed all night, he had a terrible game.
PS no chance were as bad as the jets
Mind bottling? Are you fuckin kidding me?
Pats going 6-10 this year?
Officiating was terrible on both sides. But if I was Bill Belichick I would of punched that ref in the face. This whole thing is a fucking joke. That being said, the field goal was good, and I’m a Pats fan. Plus Harbaugh got the penalty because he called the ref a motherfucker, look at the tape
Anyone else feel like they’re going to get beat by Buffalo next week?

First time here is it?
Don’t blame the refs when your “retooled” D gives up 500+ yards to a Falco lead O. Whiners
If Goodell fines everyone who publicly attacks/blasts the replacement refs, he’ll have enough money to pay the real refs $10 million a season each for the next 50 years.
Christ what is with the sense of entitlement you patriots fans have? Every single team is getting shafted by the terrible calls, the whole world doesn’t revolve around Foxboro, face the fact your team lost with some dignity rather than being a bunch of Whiny little vaginas.
How about Arrington falling down when he should’ve been able to fair catch an INT to seal the win? That was unreal.
Refs were bad on both sides and the bottom line is the Patriots are kicking way too many FGs in the Red Zone.
That being said, its Week 3 and you’ve lost the last two weeks on last second plays. No reason to call the Suicide Hotline, let’s just take care of Buffalo next week.
If the goal posts were 15 feet higher that ball still goes in. at the very least hits the upright and goes in just from the angle the ball was coming in from
for everyone saying the officiating was terrible on both sides can you please give some examples of calls that fucked the ravens? cause there were at least half a dozen that really fucked the Pats and took points off the board for them/help put points on the board for Baltimore
ps – blindside got away with at least 12 clothesline holds on chandler jones last night, but im sure these substitute teachers show his movie to their students on fridays so its all good
Jerry are you functionally illiterate? The ball has to be within the outer edge of the goalpost. It is in that picture, and the ball is already past the post in that picture. God you are a whiner.
Pats lost. They’re 1-2. Stop complaining, crying and shitting your diapers. Deal with it. Your kicker lost the AZ game last week. Now your blaming everyone except the Pats for last nights loss. First place you should look is your defense which blew a 13-0 lead and gave up 10 points in the last 4 minutes of the game. End of story.
Jesus you fucking New York retards don’t have a clue. At least now we’ll get the real refs back.
how am i able to get a vertical look on FG’s crossing the uprights on Madden, but the NFL can’t seem to get an angle.
@voice – its tough for the defense to hold that lead when the ravens are literally tackling d-lineman before they get to the QB and the DBs are getting called for holding and PI for breathing on receivers. if the ravens straight up outplayed the Pats and won id have no issue with it but thats not what happened, the refs directly impacted the outcome of the game in Baltimores favor
Ezbreeze- typical pats fan who makes excuses when they lose. Boo-fucking-hoo.
No, they lost you dipshit. How fucking hard is that to understand?
I can’t believe I ran over that asshole’s little brother on the motorcycle for NOTHIN.
Voice of Reason, typical New York fan who doesn’t actually know anything about football, just likes the tight pants and cute uniforms. Fuck off.
@Horsestuffreneesass, that illegal contact call wasn’t a bad call, it was called wrong, wasn’t illegal contact but it was absolutely pass interference. How about Webb punching Edelman in the head 5 feet from the ref who was staring right at them and no penalty. Or the phantom hold call on Gronk that killed a drive. The fact of the matter is no matter which team one or lost, the refs changed the game with bad calls way too many times and that should never happen.
you guys lost the game, deal with it. it’s not about boston and new york, the shitty refs make shitty calls for everybody and it just so happens the home teams get favored. pats got calls when they were home so shut up and deal with it. you lost, go buy some kleenex and get ready for next week
@notharrypotter – like i already said, please reference the shitty calls that went against the Ravens last night
The offensive pass interference on Welker’s twin was putrid!
@EZBreezey2222 Webb intercepted the ball and had it overturned because of contact outside of 5 yards(was inside 5 yards), Harbaugh got a 15 yard penalty for calling timeout, and Ed Reed got a 15 yard penalty for hitting someone hard with his shoulder.
the kick was EASILY good. EASILY as in the ball either barely snuck inside the post or it went directly over it but in NO WAY did it go outside of the post. end of story. mccourty was raping guys all night and his biggest rape job was the interference call at the end – how the fuck can you possibly say it wasn’t interference.
Dudebro- weak comeback, bro. Weaker than the Pats 4th quarter defense.
lol,, why dont you just use a pic when the ball is already in the stands. teh field goal was good,, stop fkn whinnin like baby
Here’s a gif of Harbaugh calling the ref a “no good motherfucker” http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18029wlmpuhmpgif/original.gif
@tvdefrancesco – please dont listen to cris collinsworth as if the guy knows what he’s talking about. he kept saying he let go after 5 yards – which he didnt, they only showed it at one angle and you can clearly see the guy holding welker, which is a penalty anyway you can jam a receiver but you cant hold him by the neck of his jersey, and you can see welker’s feet clearly cross over 2 of the 5 yard increments that go completely across the field. come over on see for yourself i have it on dvr. so that was 100% a penalty whether they called it what it was is debatable (holding, PI, illegal contact, whatever) but in no way did Baltimore get screwed by that call. any others?
and Reed went for the head, in case you havent been paying attention to the NFL for the last couple years that is now illegal. you cant hit a receiver in the head whether its with your helmet, your shoulder, or forearm. if anything he got away with just an illegal a hit on Edleman in the endzone earlier. try again kiddo.
@EZBreezy. Unsportsmanlike conduct on John Harbaugh immediately comes to mind as a call that could have cost the Ravens. But unlike the Pats they were able to shut them down anyway.
I’m ready for tonights game.
@eagles – he was clearly berating the officials, piratesalsa even posted a link to him swearing them up and down. just because you saw him mouthing “i was trying to call timeout” after the flag was thrown doesnt mean he wasnt going after them before that. as bad as these refs are (horrible) even they wouldnt throw a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct because a coach asked for a TO. still waiting for a legit call the ravens got fucked on
@EZBreezey2222 I’ll give you that I do hate Chris Collinsworth
actually breezy not one of your responses to the three aptly listed injustices was in any way conclusive let alone the fact that they lacked basic sense i dont think any more need to be listed
they werent conclusive? Webb was holding Welker by the neck of his jersey all the way down the field and it was clear as day (penalty). Reed hit Branch in the head and you could hear it from your couch (penalty) Harbaugh could be seen on the sidelines swearing at the refs, im no professional lip reader but i can tell when a guy is dropping m’fers non-stop (penalty and even had a preemptive warning sent out by the league this week for players and coaches not to berate officials). sorry, those are all very conclusive. so again, i ask you to give me a LEGIT call where the Ravens actually got screwed by the incompetent officiating
sorry holding a WRs jersey by his neck, smashing a WR in his head, and seeing a coach mouth swears at a ref dont make basic sense to you but they were all pretty obvious and were certainly the right calls
@ EZBreezey2222 you got my write-in vote for top comment
